TTC and Fibroids

Hi Everyone, I am a 38 year old woman, My husband a I are trying to conceive. He has a son and we want to start our family, time is not on our side.
I had a 6 cm fibroid removed on 3/11 of this year. I was prescribed premarine for 45 days and estrone for 7 days after that. I was told I would have a period thereafter. Well it has been 14 days no period.....I am also worried that I may be pregnant too soon ( we where told to wait 6 months to ttc.) Should I be worried? Is it normal? I am worried

Thanks ChristineMP, My Dr said he prescribed the estrogen to help me heal (faster) and because it was a submucosal fibroid deeper and wider then he initially expected.  I too, had the same concerns. I was assured it was a small dose and not for a long enough time to be concerned.  And the second pill was a progesterone ( sorry wrote the wrong pill type) to help return my AF.
Yes we were using protection.....I am just paranoid.  I am oversees and he thinks I should just wait an other week and come in ASAP  when I return home.

Talking to others and reading everyone's journey is keeping me sane an helping ;-)

I am totally unfamiliar with this protocol for treating fibroids and wasn't able to find any information online. It seems odd to follow fibroid surgery with estrogen HRT (premarin and estrone are both types of estrogen) since estrogen causes fibroids to grow...

You should call your doctor and ask when your period should start.

I'm surprised your doctor did not tell you to use protection (condom, diaphragm) until you are ready to get pregnant since Premarin does not prevent pregnancy...

I wish I could be of more assistance...
