bed rest?

Is it normal for your doctor to put you on bed rest by 37 weeks if a pain problem doesn't decrease?

All I know is that it's pelvic pain and she didn't say much about it expect I might be on rest at 37 weeks.

Yes that is normal. Spiking blood pressure brought on by pain is mot good for you and baby. Remember, you are pumping blood for 2 and puts you at risk for pre eclampsia and other issues. Watch your sodium and drink lots of water. Stretch several times daily. I got pregnant about 6 mos after having back surgery. Its no fun, but sciatica and pain problems make you more stiff if you literally just lay around all day.

Depends on the pain. Sometimes they do it just to make sure your angel doesn't come too early. Also they may be worried about your health. Try to listen to what they say and if you have any questions bring it up with your Dr. Sometimes they will put you on bed rest if you swell too much, so try not to worry and get some sleep ( if you can that is)
