emotions!

I'm 39 weeks and started feeling very emotional! Crying at drop of a hat! Is that normal or am I depressed? I'm very excited about the birth of our baby, we had ivf and had been trying for many many years.

I'm 36 weeks and cry about everything.  I cry if I'm happy, sad,and mad. I just cried today because my husband bought me a shirt. Hormones can account for our crazy emotions during pregnancy.

Thanks ladies, I think I've just had enough of being pregnant! I have been anticipated this baby for so long I think its just overwhelming that she's nearly here. A friend told me that she felt that way just before she went into labor! So maybe that's it...

Definitely normal! I've been in the same boat. 39 +3 and having my baby totomorrow via c section. All I have done the last week is cry, over ridiculous things too. On the positive side, we get to meet our little ones so soon! Hope you feel better soon mama.

It's probably normal hormones/anxiety/anticipation but I've also read that depression can start before baby arrives. Stay mindful once baby arrives and don't be afraid to discuss with the doc.  It's not your fault if you do become depressed.
