When I went to peru to meet my dh parents I stayed for 3 weeks... after the first week we went out to dinner and he got dressed up.. he looked so cute I took a picture before we left (ha ha)  We got there and ordered and he was so nervous....  I started to guess what was going to happen... he said I want to ask you something but I don't know whether to do it before or after dinner... I smiled and said lets eat haha   so as the night went on he was so nervous and after dinner he said I think I need another glass of wine hahaha.... then he asked me to marry him :)  I of course said yes and kiss kiss all of that then he asked me...  why does someone so pretty and established want someone so simple like me... and I said because you are perfect... And he is...  He is a beautiful man and every-time I look at him I think god you are hot! haha....  anyway it was cute.. after we went to karaoke  until about 2am ahhahah it was great!!!

o man, that was cute.  i know what you mean about thinking your man is hot!!!  I cannot keep my hands, mind or lips off of my man!!  We met at a picnic and some stupid guy picked me up and was trying to throw me over my shoulder....well, the drunkard dropped me on my face and I had a concussion and a broken nose.  my husband picked me up and I knew at that moment.  I had left the pic nic to go to the hospital and was in bed for 3 days.  When I finally got myself outside he had asked someone where I lived and drove to my house that same night and left me a note on my car w/ his number.  well, i was actually engaged at the time but decided to call him.  we talked and i told him i was engaged.  we wouldnt talk for a few weeks later when i decided i couldn't stop thinking of him and i called him back to tell him i had broken it off w/ my guy.  We have been inseparable ever since.  The proposal would be not even a year later during an argument!!!  We both were crying and then he proposed and we both laughed for the bad timing!!!  My best friend and lover, the greatest man to ever exist!!!  (for me anyway)

I've been divorced for 3 years and met my new husband on EHarmony.  We were married 4 months later, last May, and he not only married me, but 14 children!  Now we are pregnant with our 17th child.

wow... that is love.. haha... eharmony eh?  wow....  I met dh when I was on vacation in Peru for 10 days we kept in contact over msn and he came 6 months later to visit for 3 weeks then I went 2 months later to peru and we got engaged he came back with me and we have been together ever since... got married aug 15th in Vegas haha... were planning a big formal wedding in Peru for june but I got knocked up ;) 22 days after we got married so we are having a baby instead of a formal wedding :)

I had just broke up with my 8 year long relationship boyfriend in Mexico City and had a pretty normal life,... i was down in the dumps... and used to go out for a run every evening... the one night i didn't, i stayed on my computer and discovered americansingles.com... went into the chatroom and saw this 'BADBOY' (nickname) guy there, so, i started picking on him. We exchanged pictures (OH HOTTIE!!!!! YUM YUM!) and i thought, well, what the hell... im just a little brownie with HIGH expectations....
He emailed me next day and asked me to meet online (msn)....
We stayed up MANY MANY nights chatting, he would lift my spirits up, he was there always for me, to listen to my complaining about men.... and he never 'sexually harassed' me! which i found REALLY attractive! lol
A year after, we agreed we should meet, he paid for my plane tickets and i got a BIG job to pay for my Visa and passport.... and stuff for the trip (10 days). So my sorry a$$ came to visit this MEGA HOTTIE... and when i saw him for the first time I 'JUST KNEW' this man was IT!
We went to the drive in movies and kissed in the back of his pick up truck... he was SUCH a gentleman!! (of course 2 days later I couldn't hold my 'horses' up anymore... but that's another story! lol!!!!!)
I left to go back home and he dropped a tear or two... and i was SO sad... i had to come back.... so I did... and 6 months later he bought me a big rock and his silly self proposed to me...two months later we went down to Mexico (as a surprise for my parents) and he asked my dad in his VERY cute broken spanish to let him marry me!!! =)
We got married and our ceremony was VERY simple (we've struggled with money ever since we met!!! =(...) but very cute!!! i worked (yeah, i admit, under the table...) at a pizza place for a while to pay for my wedding gown! (such special meaning to me!) and we had a great time!
To this day is been 4.5 years.... we have had MANY, MANY hardships.... and we have endured many pains..... many tears..... many hard moments..... being homeless, being broke, my separation with my family/friends, almost divorced, the loss of my precious baby, my mom's accident in the US without insurance....., my dad's illness and sudden surgery and i couldn't be with him!.... and many more things.... and we have stood tall and strong.... and we are still so in love.....
Like Melimeli, I see his BIG BABY BLUE EYES, his cute lips his VERY attractive, muscular, tall body... and the way he looks at me and I just want to MELT!!!!!!!!!!!!! i cannot wait to see this manly hunk holding my little princess.....

yeah mel, when we JUST got married he got a chance to get some money from Verizon (where he was working) and get laid off the company..., him and his brother wanted to start a wood working business up in the allegheny mnts. and we just grabbed our sh*t and left (we live close to Baltimore). Nothing really came up from it and he couldn't get a job! so he had to accept a line worker job for $7 an hour and i couldn't work because of my status (immigrant)...
We really wanted to stay in that area, but couldn't get 'real' jobs (not offending people that do that!!!) and in the meantime we couldn't even rent! we had nothing but a junk (given away) GMC jimmy and a crappy car that didn't work!... we were staying at a 'friend' of his' home, and all of a sudden the lady kicked us out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We had NOWHERE to go.... thank God someone heard of it (word of mouth) and rented us for next to nothing his 3rd floor (he had a huuuuuge mansion).... after 4 or 6 months he said he was getting married and we were in the SAME situation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (well, at least we had notice....) so, in that moment, somehow dh got a raise to 13 bucks/hr and could rent a little junkie appartment that got us by till he got a supervisor job down back in the area....we came back and he is now the head of the sales department of a good trucking/hydraulics company and I became (from doing pizza cleanups... to AP) a marketing coordinator and now I am a webmaster for a photography company.
We got a home with a pretty back yard and a pool!! (my dream come true!!) we got reliable car and truck, and we fly my parents every so often to come visit us!
and most of it..... WE ARE EXPECTING!!!! =)))))))
life is good now.......
it tought us a BIG lesson.....

and here we are. Still loving each other and fighting for a better life! =))

ME and DH met at Macys. I was working at mens department and he would come every weekend to shop there. One day he came to me and started talking to me and then he gave me Godiva chocolate. After that weekend he came to put a jacket on hold. Next day when he came to buy the jacket I could not find it on hold. Someone had put it back. So I told him I am very sorry I can not find your jacket. Then he took my number to call later to see if I found it. Later that day he called and asked me out. I was also engaged at that time, but to someone that I did not love. He was back in my country and I already had told him that I did not want to marry him.
We went out for coffee and I told him I am engaged. He kind of cut the conversation short and wanted to leave. I did not see him for 8 month. On my last day at Macys we ran into each other and he asked me about my wedding and I told him that engagement is over. Then we exchanged numbers. He called me week later to ask me to go to a ballroom dancing with him and I did. We have been together eversince. I went to meet his family during christmas and he took me to Central Park and asked me to marry him. This was 4 month into our relationship. We will be celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary this year and now we are pregnant after 4 years of trying.
He is my best friend and a perfect husband any woman would dream of.

I have known my husband since he was in kindergarten, and me in second grade , had a big crush on him since 6th grade , he was my brother's best friend I never ever had a boyfriend, but when I was a senior in high school and he was a junior I started to hang out with him and my brothers friends more through out my senior year( I was a skinny geek) that summer my brother went to wrestling camp and said to me if Joe comes around when Im gone I know he likes you , I thought no way he's gonna find me attractive when he was so wanted by so many girls all beautiful, but the next day after my brother left he came over (asking where my brother was even though he knew), and stayed and hung out we where goofing around outside and I fell on a stick and cut my foot , He said come to my house and I'll get you a band-aid I did and on the way home at night we started goofing around again and then we kissed(my first ever at 17yrs old he was 15) I went home and couldnt wipe the damn smile off my face let alone get rid of the butterflies in my stomach.  I told my older sister later on and she started jumping up and down (cause she knew how much I liked him), I said jeeze it aint like were getting married he just kissed me , Well we never left each others side since and four years later we where married , two virgins almost 7 kids later 21 years together 16 years married my best friend , other half.

I met my DH at the Airport in Seattle Washington due to mistaken identity.  I was meeting another man I met online at the airport. I was waiting by the luggage area and I had only seen faint pictures of the other guy online, so when I went up to the man I thought was the man I was to meet and gave him a hug and Kiss on the cheek, my DH said who are you? I didn't realize I was being stood up by the other guy.  My DH was pleasantly surprised and I was embarrassed as hell. Not to mention everyone getting their luggage seen me kiss a stranger. So my DH played it off as if he knew me. We started talking  for an hour at the airport and he found out his ride stood him up. So I figured what the hell, I just moved to Washington State and don't know anyone and he is active duty military I will give a ride to the base and that will be it. Well, we ended up spending the day and night together and I wasn’t expecting to hear back from him and two hours after I left his place he called me wanting to know what time I was coming over. This was on Sunday Feb 2 ,2002 we moved in with each other Feb 4, 2002 and have been together every since. Now we live in Plantation, FL and we are TTC!!!!

DH and I met in an AOL chatroom 9 years ago. I had just divorced my high school sweetheart, was a single mom and definitely was NOT looking for a relationship! I was just looking for friends and people to chat with.  It was not even a romance chatroom! I think it was Dallas Chat or something like that!  Anyhow, we chatted and hit it off and talked for about a month.  We finally decided to meet and I thought...WOW!  He's a cutie.  But I was scared and we didnt talk for over 2 weeks after we met because I wouldn't return his calls.  He finally caught me off guard and I agreed to meet him again........and he hasn't ever left me or my remote control alone ever since!  =)  We have the same exact birthdays and have been married for 8 years!

I met my dh (actually we're not married..it's just easier to say dh! lol ) at work. I'm a bartender in a nightclub and he's the bouncer.  We'd been working together for like 2 years but I was married to someone else (mistake) and he had a girlfriend.  We were just friends for a long time. Seeing each other only at work..never really entered my mind that I would one day be with him..but of course I thought he was HOT! LOL  Well, we fell in love. We were great friends and then we just fell in love without neither of us knowing what the hell was going on!  He always used to walk me to my car after work and one saturday night, after he kissed me goodnight on the cheeks like he always did..he grabbed me with his big arms and pushed me into him and he gave me a sweet lil' kiss on the lips.  We both were in shock and I just jumped in my car without even looking at him! My heart was racing, I had been dreaming about him doing that for months.

So, went back to my place..thought about him the whole week. That was it, I was in love. My poor dh at the time was wondering what the hell was wrong with me because I was so distant.. I had to wait until the next Thursday to see him at work again. And before my shift, we were both sitting at the bar with other coworkers..he he whispered in my ear ''I thought about that little kiss all week long''..my heart melted..I was sooooo happy he obsessed over it too!!  That night it began. We were hiding anywhere we could to just jump on each other and kiss..touch..ahhhh..it was great! We hid our love for 2 months before we left our other relationships..but we both did and we've been crazy in love ever since.  He's the hottest guy on earth and I can't believe he's with me. Hahha  We are sooo lucky.  :)

True story. Dh and I met on match.com and had our first date in Hawaii on Valentine's weekend.  I lived in Oklahom and he lived in NYC. I was going to Hawaii for work and asked him if he wanted to meet me there.  It was neutral territory so it seemed like it was a good idea and it turned out to be a great idea.  It being valentine's weekend was just a coincidence.
