forgot to take prenatals....

So its been over a month since I took my prenatals due to having a bad habit at forgetting things. Will this greatly affect my baby or is she still gonna come out healthy

The DHA with prenatals is definitely a benefit to baby, helps in the development of their brain and eyes. And the other vitamins have benefits to both mom and baby.

Teampinkbabysophia, my comment was not meant to be rude in any fashion. I have seen so many woman.....not just you, say prenatals are only for mom or they're not important at all & to be honest, not rude, yes it does bother me because it's not 100% accurate. I am not saying ANYONE is wrong or right & I understand that your doctor said what he/she said, but again my doctor said what he said because I'm expecting a boy & in my comment I followed up my statements with a fact by saying lack of folic acid has been linked to autism in boys which was provided to me by my doctor. Along with my prenatal, my doctor also put me on Prenatal DHA that helps support healthy eye & brain development.
I am not here to rip anyone down. I don't believe in doing that because we all need to support one another and this journey we're on. I wish everyone the best pregnancy possible & happy, healthy babies.

I was told the iron pills were for mommy and the other pills are for baby's brain and eyes.

I don't see where shannyo was being rude? She was sharing her knowledge to others and isn't this what it's all about. Thanx shannyo, I to have heard vitamins are essential to the unborn baby. At least that's what my Doctor says. :)

My ob told me you only really need them in the first trimester for the folic acid after that just eat well so this pregnancy I have only taken folic acid.

ShannyO, My doc. Told me that prenatal vitamins replaced whatever baby takes away from me. Never was I told anything else. It bothers me when people make such rude comments.

It bothers me to see woman who think prenatals are only for the mother and that's not true. There is a major benefit to the fetus. Yes, there have been momma's that didn't take prenatals & got lucky that nothing was immediately was wrong with their babies, but recent studies have shown, & I already spoke to my doctor about this, but recent studies have shown that a lack of folic acid, 1000mg, has been linked to autism in boys. That's pretty major & a perfect reason to take your vitamins and make sure you're doing all you can to be a healthy momma & have a healthy baby.

I actually have a pill box set up for the week. It helps me remember.

I guess I'll have to try the alarm. My brain is so bad cause I'm told to take them with food and when I do remember its right before a meal so I decide to wait but once I get the meal or start eating I have already forgotten

I know how you feel about forgetfulness & taking things. I went from taking nothing to now being on two prescriptions & three vitamins. Yikes! My OB is very pro fish oil, plus I'm anemic, despite taking my prenatals from preconception.
I recommend setting an alarm to help you remember. I have three set ...I don't usually take them right on time but close to it  .It can't hurt to try.

When taken early on they greatly help the fetus... However some people never take them and scan have perfectly healthy baby and back when our parents or grandparents had babies they never had them at all try to remember and take them but dont stress too much about it

You are not alone. I forget mine and I feel dragged down. Baby's fine, as far as we know.

Prenatal vitamins are mostly for you. They restore whatever your baby takes for him/her self. You'll be fine just start taking them. Make it a habit of taking them. I am also very forgetful lol.
