I got mine out March 31 and was 11 weeks along by July 19th (:
Now due February 1, 2014.
I'm sure it varies from woman to woman.

Ok I just took my IUD out yesterday I've had it for 4 years and no period for that long...but my concern is that that same day I had it removed that night my husband and me had sex and no condoms is it possible I could get pregnant or be...he came inside me a Lil

So...When I was on Mirena i had what seemed like a constant mp, the last one I had pre removal was from Aug1st 2011 to Sept 12th 2011. I got Mirena out on Sept 21st it's now Oct 12th and still no mp. Haven't taken a test due to not thinkin I could be pregnant. Tonight I noticed bumbs around my areolas, is that a sign of pregnancy or pms? The s/s are soo close to one another and due to being off bc I'm not sure what to think.

If you think you may be pregnant while you have an IUD you need to see your doctor ASAP. Having an IUD while pregnant puts both you and the baby at risk

Hey Ive had the same thing happen too me ive had It for three years no period at all ..& I feel like im pregnit I took three test thy say neggitive I have all the symthoms xecpt mornin sickness but I neva qot mornin sickness wit my 1st baby ..& every time my family sees me thy tell me im pregnit without me telln them mu problem they say they see a glow on mee & those family members new u was pregnit with my daughter b4 I new thy sed I was glowing

even when on your peroid ladies it gives you symptoms of pregnancy! You can trick your body into actually thinking you are pregnant!! Even as far as lactating without ever being pregnant! It's happend to a few of my friends, talked to doctors about it! The female body is a crazy thing. But with the Mirina, there is a 1% chance of pregnancy! I almost guarntee it's not that you are pregnant, it's your hormones going crazy tryin to get used to the IUD! Preg. symptoms and PMS symptoms are almost the same in most cases

I had my Mirena removed on June 3.  I had no periods with it in.(I had it for 4 years).  4 days after removal, I bleed for 4-5 days.  I started temping and o'd on cd 30.  That bleeding had to be removal bleeding because it was very light, at the time I thought it was my period because pre mirena, I was always light.  Turns out after I o'd, I had alot of pregnancy symptoms. Bloating, gassy, sore bb's, increased appetite, little cramps and a little nausea.  I took 3 HPT's all BFN's.  Then on July 19 (cd 43) my period arrived.  With a vengence!!  I have never bleed this heavy before or had this bad of cramps.  I wonder, if the mirena thins the lining of the uterus, then where the heck is all this blood coming from!!!??

PS:  I have heard of other ladies bleeding heavy and sometimes longer after mirena removal.  I have also heard of some (lucky) ladies who have gotten pregnant right away. I guess I'm not the lucky.  Sorry, if this burst anyone's bubble, but this is what's happening to me.

im 22 and i have to Mirena IUD for about 9 months , im tired all the time dizzy,eat like 5 times more than i used to and feel nauseous most of the time,ive taken 3 at home pregnancy test all came up neg. dont know what to think anymore, my mother got pregnant with me while she had an IUD.

It ended up taking me 3 cycles to get pregnant but my periods were really weird during those 3 months I went from having 28 day periods to 35 day periods but i started to try some home remedies like drinking applecider viniger with my tea 2-3 times a day with lots of yams in my diet to make sure it increased my chances and i am indeed pregnant i also ate extra healty and make sure you take lots of vitamins before hand.

Your suppost to wait at least 3 MP Cycles to try to get pregnet again because your uterus is so thin when you take the iud out that if you try before the 3 months you will just misscarrige so wait until afer 3 months of removal of the iud to try

Have you had any luck with findout about the whole pregnancy testing with the mirena in?? I am trying too to figure out if i am pregnant too I have taken several tests and they all say Neg but I feel like I am.. Im confussed

Did you ever get pregnant after the Mirena IUD was removed?  I had mine removed in Oct 09 and have had two misscarriages since.  I don't know if it is from the IUD or not but I'm heartbroken!  I had it in for 4years and have told friends it was wonderful not to bleed every month.  I'm going to the Doc in two weeks for testing to see if everything is ok because I have two kids and both those pregnancys were normal.

ok, i think im pregnant...i have the mirena  iud, but for aabout a week or so...i have been eating like a cow,heartburn,morning sickness,cramps, the whole 9 yards...i have not had a mp...in over a year...so i dont know if i missed it or not...i took 4 pregnancy tests all say the same neg. but im all out of sorts......i have a blood pregnancy test on the 21st and have also opted to have my iud removed so that if i am not...i can be....problem is that i have read a few other sites...and the word is...that with the iud inplace...sometimes it does not show up if you really are with the at homes nor in the blood tests.......some 1 help......

I had my mirena removed a couple months ago, and bled lightly for about a week after.  I've had two periods separate from that since, but are very abnormal for me.  I've always had very light periods that disappeared with the mirena in, these last two have been very very heavy and only a couple days long.  My second one was more than 28 days after the first, and I used to always be very punctual.  I was very excited since I figured no period meant pregnancy, but turns out it was just later than expected :/  My first pregnancy happened in less than 2 weeks post birth control pills, so I guess I was spoiled into thinking this time would be that fast as well.

I too had the mirena IUD removed ( Thursday March 23) and on saturday I started bleeding some it's not very heavy. I don't know if it's my period or bleeding from the removal. My problem is when I had the IUD I didn't get my period for months only some very light spotting once in a while so now that I am IUD free I don't know when my period is due or anything like that. During the removal my Dr. said that the IUD was half way out so her guess was it was coming out on its own. She said that may have been why I had no period. So now that I am trying to get pregnant I am having all these questions that I have no answer to, so I understand and wish you the best of luck. If I find out anything I will let you know. Although on another site I was on alot of women said they got pregnant right away like days after and some weeks after, try looking at other sites.

I asked this same question in another forum.  One response said that she got pregnant after 2 mp.  Like you, I bled after removal of my Mirena (Removed on March 7, 2008) and have yet to have a mp.  Good luck!

I am trying to find out the same thing! I had mine removed Feb 26th and on the 28th I started a heavy cycle that ended after 6-7days. I've been tryin to get pregnant since and I'm anxious to know how long it takes! Let me know if you hear anything please.
