I almost feel like its harder, but I'm not sure. I didn't start trying until I was 37. I lost my first at 8 weeks and now I pregnant again 9 months later, but my 6 week ultrasound, showed an empty sac and my hcg level is rising slowly. I was told to come back in a week.
So at this point I think its harder to hold, than to conceive.
I had my first baby at 20, second at 23 and twins at 26.......no problems getting pg.....at 30 I had a second trimester loss at 20wks.
At 34 we decided to try for one more.....it took 19months.....I conceived 3 weeks after my 35th birthday.....after 18wks of bed rest I am now 34wks
It is a little harder at our age, but like jifnif said, knowing your body and taking care of yourself, the end result is well worth the wait.
i am 38 and dont have trouble getting prego...just keeping the pregnancy. i think key things are knowing your body and your cycle, taking care of yourself, and keep the end goal of a beautiful baby in mind at all times. :)
I am 39, and don't seem to have any trouble at all getting pregnant. Its different for everyone. Is there any reason to think you have miscarried or might have an etopic pregnancy? A quick trip to your ob should set your mind at ease. Best of luck to you.
For me . . . ages 29 and 35 were easy, fast pregnancies for our 1st and 3rd babies. The 2nd baby took several years and finally conceived at age 33.
It took me 2 yrs. to conceive. I had unexplained infertility. I started trying at age 36 so who knows....I could have had trouble in my twenties and just didn't know it.
You know Im 35 and prego and at this age its really checking on consistent ovulation, hormone levels and egg quality that makes a difference in your pregnancy. Sometimes you need help....sometimes you dont. I honestly would say I personally can get pregnant easy but maintaining a pregnancy is tougher because my hormone levels are off a bit. So I have to supplement. Each one of us is different.
I am pregnant at 38, it took us 14 months to conceive this time, only 2 weeks of ttc when I was pregnant at 30! At 35 it is recommened that you see an RE after 6 months of TTC without success. We waited a year but it only took 2 months once the RE ran a few tests and supplied the right meds! Best Wishes!
ARe you pg now? I just had a baby at 35... my other two were at 23 and 29 and this pg by far was the easiest.... I had no problems and enjoyed it much more. I also had no problems getting pg and got pg 17 days after I got married. With baby #2 I had to do a year of fertility treatments and finally got pg with injectables ad iui. With this one I just got pg... but I have pcos and I had lost 100lbs went from a size 28 to a 14 so I think the weight is what kept me from getting pg before. I had a very easy pregnancy and delivery had a vbac and only had 7 hours of labor start to finish and only pushed for 6 minutes.... good luck and try to relax
