You will know when you are in labor.  However, I would advise strongly that if/when you have Braxton-Hicks, please remind yourself to drink lots of water.  Those early contractions are often a sign that your body is "dehydrated".  The fluid around the baby is constantly replenishing itself, and therefore, you need to give it all the help it can get.

Good luck to you for a safe and smooth delivery!  You're in the home stretch!

Ugh, you are probably so uncomfortable right now.
The best thing to do is go see your obgyn. Only he/she will be able to tell you if you're nearing labor by doing a pelvic exam.
I remember when I was near the end of my last pregnancy, every little thing I felt was the end in my mind. I was miserable and just wanted him out. Hopefully, for the sake of your baby, you still have two weeks to go. 38 weeks is the safest if you don't make it to 40 weeks.
Good luck, and go see your doctor!

Well...yes, and no.  Certainly these are possible signs of impending labor, but they are also signs of later third trimester pregnancy.  Unfortunately, until labor actually starts, it's tough to predict. No doubt your body is getting ready though, and at 36 weeks it won't be long.  It's good if baby can stay in at least another week or two though.  All the best and wishing you a healthy, speedy and safe labor and delivery.
