I don't have the answer for you but my dh got tested for vit d and it was real low like 14... and they put him on 50,000 dose of vit d once a week for 8 weeks.. we are waiting now on follow up blood work to see if he has maintained the level or if he needs to keep supplimenting...  an aside...  his mood got much better after the vit d pills...

hi .. there are certain vitamin b's that are essential for health and development but having a case where you can't absorp them would not cause birth deformities - though it might hinder you conceiving and holding... you can get liquid b complexes from a good health shop which are much easier to absorb, or as a last resort, you can have injections.  with the liquid, make sure it is a mix of all b's though .. as they all work together in the body .. there is no point taking one as it needs the others to work properly .. most liquids will be in complexes though

my cousin has celiac's disease .. when your digestive system is compromised, I got her onto liquid b's and she felt much better and then fell pregnant naturally after 2 failed rounds of ivf

good luck!
