Ladies,
From experience and research I can tell you that the NT scan is only accurate between 11-13 weeks. any earlier or later and you can get false positives.
Machicon~ I'm sorry for your loss last year. You had a level 2 u/s done and they would have noticed any soft markers for genetic problems during it. Since your level 2 u/s was good then I think it's safe to say that your baby is healthy and will be ok.
Even though the risk for genetic problems is higher among mothers 35 and over, more than %80 of babies with down syndrome (and other genetic issues) are born to moms UNDER 35. The reason is because we have more babies.
my firstborn son has down syndrome, and I had amnio's done with him and with his baby brother when I was pregnant. I also had level 2 u/s's done and a fetal echo (heart test for the baby)
If you have any questions you can ask. :)

wierd.. google it and it states everywhere when you have to get it done to be accurate... 13w 6 d is the last day... it is a very sensitive test that is only accurate during those dates... hmmmmm
I had mine at 16 weeks (NT scan and blood work)?
hmmm they cannot do the NT test at 20 weeks it is too late..
The NT scan must be done when you're between 11 and 14 weeks pregnant. (The last day you can have it done is the day you turn 13 weeks and 6 days pregnant.) It's usually offered along with a blood test in what's known as first-trimester combined screening.
Very accurate...if there was a problem you would KNOW after the NT scan. All of us are over 35 (me being 41 and 33 weeks prego) and most of us had bad NT scan results so you are in good hands. Those Bad NT results we got were 99% nothing in the end.
So sorry about your previous pregnancy. Perhaps the DR can do U/S more often to ensure this does not happen again? Liklihood is very slim-none that would happpen again
