In the above post I didn't mean to put an 'm' in however...I was trying to add a comma there. Sorry. And also the 'j' is missing in "just".
First and foremost don't be embarrassed; howeverm please don't ust dismiss it. A vaginal odor implies one of two things. Either you have an infection causing an odorous discharge or you must clean yourself more often. In pregnancy you have leukorrhea which is a mucousy discharge that is odorless; however, if you do not maintain good hygiene, this too can be odorous as well. I find that women who are obese have a problem with getting in between their folds and this can cause an odor as well. Hope this helps, not trying to offend you.
No need to be embarrassed. Trust me, your ob/gyn is going to have seen it before. You don't want to ignore it. I would make an appointment right away. These things are usually minor if dealt with right away, but can become serious if ignored. Good luck to you.
You just have to get over that fear and take care of yourself. An infection that is not taken care of, can effect the health of your baby and the pregnancy.
An "uncomfortable odor" is not normal. Call your Dr. and make an appt. you may have something as harmless as a yeast infection. Don't be embarrassed ti see your Dr. he/she is used to that. Let him know your concerns and he will be sensitive to the issue.
