orgasms in early pregnancy

I hate to sound like a freak, but is it okay to have orgasms in early pregnancy. I am about 7wks pg and I was wondering if it is okay. My doctor did not tell me either way. I had a u/s last week and my doctor told me everything looks great and I need to stop worrying about everything!! But now I am worrying about this!!

I had an mc last year that was pretty much doomed from the get go and they did warn me then not to have sex. But with that pregnancy I had tons of spotting and even some bleeding.

I have no spotting and no unsual cramps, so I was wondering if I could still be intimate with my dh. I can tell he is very ready for this too!!! : ) Thanks for the advice, I hope I did not offend anyone!!

Thanks ladies!! I am glad to know that I am not alone!! It is just so dang hard not to worry about everything.

You would think with the non-stop throwing-up I would not be thinking about this, but maybe I have to many man genes in me!!!

I truly appreciate all your kind words and thanks for not making me feel like a "super freak"

Hi! It's ok to have sex and also to have an orgasm.  The only thing I wanna warn you about is..you might get a cramp after you orgasm.  I'm 8 weeks pregnant and a few weeks ago, every time I orgasmed, I had a menstrual cramp right after that lasted maybe 10 seconds and then it went away completely. I was worried at first but I researched it and it's perfectly normal. But it doesn't do that anymore so maybe it stops after you get to a certain point in your pregnancy.  So you guys go and have fun!  :)

Sweetie, you are NOT a freak!!! (or we ALL are then!!! lol) I tried not to O in early pregnancy cuz that caused my spotting all 3 times! (I had some little spotting at 12 weeks after....that....), I'd say try once and if you spot right after that....then try not to until you hit your second trimester sweetie, but that's just my opinion! =)

Yep, I agree, all is fine. I have read that the big "O" does cause a contraction of sort. But, it's not the same as a labor contraction. Not harmful.

I can understand your concern. It makes perfect sense if you had a MC last year. So does the contraction that occur during orgasm increase chances of miscarriage.
That's a good question to ask your doctor. You can google that question because I wanna know too.
You are so nice...Your ? was in no way offending. Girls let's help rdh1981.
Congratulations to you. I cannot wait to hear about your bundle of joy in 8 months.
Be positive. Look at me I just posted "I'm a nervous reck until I test nov 6th".
You did it and most of the literature say it's okay to have sex till your 9th month. I assume they are taking into consideration having and orgasm. It comes with the territory literally.
Goodluck
