I am in the same boat as you. About 8 months ago, I miscarried my first pregnancy. I just took a HPT on Tuesday and it was positive. Of course, I am a bit nervous about it, but I am trying to keep a positive outlook. I do have a few symptoms (sore nipples and some light cramping), but otherwise, nothing too much. Last time, I had food cravings and aversions, sore breasts, cramping, some nausea...many more symptoms than I do right now. Of course, this could all change in the next couple weeks
Good luck everyone and I wish you a healthy and uneventful pregnancy!
Ladies, thank you so much for sharing and the encouragement--I feel much better. Wishing you healthy and uneventful pregnancies and healthy and happy addition to your families at the end of it all :)
I had horrible, I mean really really horrible, symptoms with my first pregnancy and miscarried. I'm now almost 12 weeks and the only symptoms I have are food oversion and nauseated at night.
I never have many of the typical pregnancy symptoms in the first trimester :) Enlarged, tender breasts and needed to pee a lot is about it...I had NO morning sickness with my son at all...had terrible sickness with my daughter...but not until end of 2nd trimester/beginning of 3rd.
I am now 11 weeks pregnant with what will be my third child and I am virtually symptomless...some passing nausea and occasional cravings but not much else. I don't even "feel" pregnant like I did with my other two...but this baby is fine. Even at this early stage I can feel flutters of movement (and for those who think it is gas, let me say I do have gas sometimes but this is very different).
Anyway, I wouldn't worry...enjoy not having morning sickness :)
I am so sorry for your loss and I completely understand your anxiety around this pregnancy. I have been and currently am in the same boat as you.
I have now miscarried 6 times, have 1 little boy (15 months old) and just found out that I am pregnant again. Every single pregnancy has been a little bit different. I have experienced intense symptoms and lost the pregnancy. With my son symptoms came and went, many times none at all. He went full term. I have been on this forum a long time. I know many many women who had not a single pregnancy symptom and all was just fine.
Having no symptoms is no cause for alarm at all. Hearing that lots of symptoms is a good sign really is an old wives tale. Also, know that having had one miscarriage does not increase your odds of a second at all. It is only after 3 that your odds increase, and only 1% of women experience 3. There is every reason to believe all is well. Enjoy the lack of symptoms...your only 6 weeks...they could very well sneak up on you or you may be one of the lucky ones that has one of those easy full of energy pregnancies!
Congrats to you, and I wish you a healthy and uneventful pregnancy!
