siatic nerve pain..oooowwweeee!!!!

Hey ladies!
Im 30weeks today and just over the past couple day have started having some pain that I assume is being caused by pressure/weight of the uterus on the siatic nerve.
OOOOOH does it smart....its like a gripping deep tissue/muscle pain in the left side buttock. This kid is literally a "PIA" !! hehe...j/k.
Seriously though...I know its quite common in the 3rd tri,. My next Dr. appointment is this Friday and I plan to mention it but I was just wondering if any of you have had this and what you did for relief?  Have any of you ever had a pre-natal massage or seen a chiroproactor for it...and did it help?

Thanks!

Oh my! I so know what you are talking about.  I'm always saying that I have a pain in my butt!  The left side of my rear hurts when I walk or stand a certain way.  It's especially bad after I've been lying down.  Mine started about 2 weeks ago and I'm just 28 weeks.  I'm not sure how it's going to feel in 12 more weeks.  You're not alone but I haven't figured out anything to relieve it.

Well - sounds like we're suffering from the same pain-in-the-@$$! hehe
Mine gets better for bit...then kicks up again.  I've noticed that keeping a cold pack on it sometimes is better than warm.  And yeah...its definitely worse after lying down.  I have a Dr. appointment tomorrow....I'll let you know if I get any good info / relief tips!!

Hang in there.....we're in the home stretch!!  :)
