tubes tied and burned, possibly pregnant?

I am 39 years old and had my tubes tied and burned 14 years ago when my youngest son was born.  I had my last period (which are pretty regular) in November.  When I didn't have my period in December I was a little concerned, but now mid January and still no period has me more than a little concerned.  I don't have any insurance or I would have already seen a doctor.  Do you think I could be pregnant?  Or is this menopause?  My mom just went through menopause at the age of 59 so I thought menopause was still far away for me.  Help!

I had my tubes tied and also burned also 16 years ago. I just turned 40 in Nov.  I missed my period this month Jan. 2 weeks late. Never before unless preg.  Took a preg. test.. One yesterday and ALSo this morning with the morning urine. both negative. What should I do?  Can Utopic come negative? Is there a test for medipause that the doctor can take? thanks Kelly

The exact situation just happened to me.  I am 36 years old and found out I was pregnant about 2 weeks ago.  I had my tubes tied and burnt almost 6 years ago.  The doctors were very concerned about an ectopic because of the tubal.  I don't want to scare you but I suggest you hpt soon and if positive go to the doctor.  I'm sorry to say I had a miscarriage last week.  They are still checking my hCG levels because I was not far enough along to see anything on the ultrasound and they can not decide if it was an ectopic or just a miscarriage.  I hope yours turns out better.  Good luck and keep me informed.
