can you get pregnant 7-8 weeks postpartum after having a c-section? what could happen if you did get pregnant again after having a c-section.

well i was asking because my BF and i had sex without protection only 6 weeks and 3 days and it was the second day without bleeding and now no bleeding since except for yesterday that happened once and it was a scant pink and it only happened once. and now wif i was to be pregnant when do i test because the reason i ask is after giving birth and the bleeding stops i get my real period 1 week after my PP bleeding stops. and could you have the same symptoms as an early pregnancy or is it all the same like any other pregnancy? im also breastfeeding my baby girl.

Yes you can...and you would have a baby and probably a repeat section delivery. Simple answer, but that's about it lol.

My mother got pregnant 2 months after having me.
Wouldn't recommend it since having two little kids at the same time *****

Lol I didn't see anything about depression in your question but you definitely got the rundown from the first one to answer ;) Anyhow, yes you can get pregnant right after a c section. If you're breast feeding then your chances are lower. Doctors usually advise not getting pregnant for 2 years just so you can have time to heal and then be able to have a vaginal birth. If you enjoy c sections then go for it, have another baby asap. I personally didn't enjoy mine and if I have another kid I would like to wait at least 5 years and try to have a vaginal birth.

yes as you are more fertile. i was so scared as i fooled around 4 weeks after and didnt use protection and i wasnt sleeping with one so the thought of going through pregnancy again with a new born had me in tears. if your worried about the healing then there are risks but i have known woman who have had one section then caught with another early on. doctors just worry that the womb will tear open as it takes a long time for everything to heal.

If you mean postpartum depression you can. It can develope slowly in some women. as for getting pregnant again i have no idea what can happen. but if you are depressed i would get help before conceiving another child because your fetus can sense your emotions and that could cause problems I'm sorry i couldn't be more helpful. but if you mean depression you need to see somebody because it can be very dangerous. I'm going to get myself evaluated after my sons here just to be safe i have history of depression I'm fine now but i don't wanna take chances with a newborn under my care.
