7 week spotting

I'm 7 weeks today and this is my 3rd day spotting. It's not heavy spotting but it hasn't stopped. I have had no stomach pains or cramps. I have called my doctor every day and they have just told me to rest and stay off my feet. And they said that as long as I don't have cramping and its not filling a pad an hour that there is nothing anyone can do and that its probably nothing. But I'm still worried and scared. Does it normally last this long?

I had an ultrasound last Monday so about 5 days ago and they said that it is not an ectopic pregnancy and that the heartbeat sounded really good.

It can go either way honey. 3 years ago I spotted for 2-3 days and then miscarried. This time round I started to spot at 5 weeks and then at 6 weeks it turned into a proper monthly flow and didn't stop bleeding until I was abt 11 weeks. I am 40 weeks today and waiting to deliver any day now. The only thing I can suggest is that you cam ask your doctor to arrange an early u/s. This way they will be able to tell you if they can see sac and babies heartbeat. Don't take NO for an answer. Just say you are worried that you might have an ectopic pregnancy and would like to put your mind at rest. This is what I did. I know how worried you must be. They might ask you if you have any pain, just say yes and they will have no other choice but to see you. Sometimes we have to be a little bit more proactive to get this kind of app. I hope everything works out well for you and your baby is healthy and growing well. Good luck!
