I think you should just have your baby natural :)
They told me my last was going to be almost 10 lbs!! & that I should induce early so I did. Well the induction went perfect & she was a healthy 6lbs 11oz. lol Those weights are predictions and I have rarely seen them even be close. Don't choose a surgery with out giving it a shot is my opinion.
I don't think your baby is all that big. And their not even 100% accurate all the time.
How did your doctor appointment go?
you'll be fine, try to relax. remember the contractions are helping baby down so do your best not to fight them by contracting yourself but try to relax and let them do their thing. many long deliveries take long because the mother is afraid or scared of the pain. if you accept that it will hurt and that its not worth fighting your own bodies instincts before going into the delivery room the smoother things will go.
it is a wonderful experience to have a baby naturally and i hope you at least try it. it is worth the effort!
best of luck!
I would get induced but that is just me its your body your baby do what is right for you
I'm deff leading more for natural now! I guess i was just nervous because i don't want my daughter to get stuck or whatever but im ready to toughen it up!
I would try natural! 8 lbs 2 oz is not that big!And chances are baby is smaller than 8 lbs 2 oz. As u/s measurement can be off either direction. C section recovery time is a lot worse than natural! I delivered my first at 7 lbs 8 oz. My mom delivered me at almost 10 lbs with no epidural so its still possible to deliver natrually
What i'm trying to avoid forsure forsuree is the epidural. haha.
Oh, and my son's cord was around his neck twice. Vaginal birth with induction and he's sitting here slapping my leg right now. Good luck! :)
Epidurals are definitely worth it and don't hurt half as bad as actual labor. If it's pain you fear, seek the epidural, not natural labor lol
Doctors always try to force a c section because they get paid more. With natural birth, we do alll the work. They don't even cut the cord most of the time. Just stand there and guide him/her out.
I was induced and I was in labor 47 hours. 45 natural. Epid
My family is opposite they all have natural births no pain meds. I had epidural and csection. Go figure
my first baby was 8lb 16 oz and I had a natural birth, I'm small 5ft 3 and about 7 1/2 st usually, the only way your baby would get stuck is if its not in an optimal position for birth, so lying on your back should be avoided if you can as this tilts your pelvis upwards so its like pushing uphill, usually babies that are in the 10lb range are the ones to get stuck, so dont let your doctor scare ypou into a c-section, alot of the times the weight of the baby can be out quite abit and the babies usually end up by being smaller than what they have estimated
Please do let us know have a good night.
I'll deff be doing that! :D well I am off to bed now, I will deff let ya guys know how tomorrow goes. Have my appointment at 10am..ekkk! :D
I'm sure it will go great. If you can't sleep tonight maybe write down all your questions that way hey aren't just floating around in your head making it harder to sleep and you will make sure all your questions get answered. And you're welcome that's what this forum is all about helping each other :) we also get just about every view point which is really nice.
I'm just hoping that she isn't freaking huge if I have her natural haha I heard people rip and its super painful ._. Does a staff infection just happen?
Let's just hope everything goes great tomorrow! :) thank you again for the advice.
I know a lot of people are responding which is good. Just remember an ultrasound to determine weight can be way off in either direction. I was induced with my first at 16 and he was 7lb 10oz 20in and I had him natural. Then last year I had a c-section because my daughter was breech. If I had a choice I would never have a c-section again. I developed a form of staff infection that landed me in and out of the hospital for 3 months, daily doctor visits when I was out, and 5 additional surgery on my incision.
No problem sweetie. Just remember if you do need a c section that is totally okay as long as mama and baby are healthy and happy.
I'm glad you commented it like made me realize that I should just give it a shot! :) thank you so much for the information!!
Well shoott if only there was a way that we knew which was the best option! Haha.
