Oneluv- I just wrote you back privately.

I had bloody show 2-3 days before I went into labor. My water broke at home. Most women have their baby within 24 hours after bloody show though many won't see their little one until a few days after bloody show.

Bloody show is different from just losing the mucous plug. It means early labor!!! And early labor can last a few hours or a few days so here's to hoping little one arrives all on their own!

Ive been having very slight contractions for the past 2hrs only lasting about 10 min......hope its the start! I dont have a great sense of smell i think because of my allergies....so I couldn't really tell if it was just from the mucous plug or not.... im sure i will know too when it happpens.!!! just wish this baby was ready NOW.......lol

it does sound like your waters are leaking.  I know this might be gross but sometimes if ou smell our waters it smell sweet.  I have never had that because mine have always broken just before they came out.  The first time is always scary and unknown lol but ou will know when it starts.  YOu shoudnt be too far away

I had a look at your profile and you are past 40 weeks.  How is your back?  An uncomfortable back is a sign labour has begun or is going to begin.  The back isn't painful just to the point where you can't get comfortable.  Before I went into labour I also had what I can explain as shots of electricity going up my you know what.  It made you catch your breath.  YOu shouldn't be too far away.  Try going for a long walk that has always helped me.

Well my pregnancies were different and each pregnant is different.  I didn't have a show before labour started.  With my son I laboured for a total of 25 hours from start to finish.  About 3 hours beforemy son was born I had my show and my waters broke about 2 minutes before he was born.

With my daughter I was in labour for 26 hours from start to finish.  With my daughter I had my show 45 minutes before she was born and her waters broke about 2 minutes before she was born.  I was lucky I made it to the hospital in time because my show was so late.

I think it cane be normal to take a week or even a day but if your waters break then you need to call the doctor because I know they can ony be broken for so long.  I hope that helps
