Any suggestions?

Okay, I have a problem with taking my vitamins. I spoke with my midwife and I cannot find the vitamins she is recommending for me. (I am going to have to call her again soon if I don't resolve this)   Another issue I have is, I cannot swallow pills for the life of me!! Any prenatal pill I have tried is like a horse pill to me! So I tried a liquid....wrong move. I can't keep it down and I am 18 weeks!
I have barely taken vitamins since I found out I was pregnant. I was able to take them fine before the pregnancy. Can anyone recommend a pretty good chewable for me?  I am at a loss right now and I know I need the give my baby the proper nutrients because I may not be getting enough just by eating good foods. any suggestions would help at this point. Thanks!!  =)

I will have to look into One Source. If they are the size of a tylenol capsule, I could probably do that. We shall see. Thanks!!! =)

I have the same problem with taking pills- hard to swallow them.  I take One Source from Wal-Mart.  They are the size of a tylenol capsule.  My doctor also recommended Flintstone vitamins too.  So maybe one of those will work for you.

I also have heard you can take 2 Flintstone vitamins a day and it's the equivilant to taking a prenatal vitamin.  A good friend of mine does this and her baby is developing great!  You can chew Flintstone vitamins.

I know....6 right??? Crazy. Apparently 6 pills had the 800mcg of folic acid I needed (in that particular brand anyway)  the important thing is that I am getting a vitamin in. I do eat healthy for the most part, so I think I will be okay. My baby kicks a lot and has a wonderful strong heartbeat, so I think he/she is just fine! =) thanks for the advice though!

I was able to take my pre-natal vitamins just fine (even though they were big) before I was pregnant. Now, it seems impossible to even look at them and to cut them in half would probably make me more sick. I am so complicated, I know. lol. The other thing was I had to take six of them in one day! So I would take them in the afternoon and before I went to bed. But now six is just too much right now. As for the flintstones I was taking them for some time, but my midwife said it is better to take a food-based vitamin? I don't know what to do. I think I may just go back to the flintstones until I feel ready for my pre-natals.

I have heard of ppl taking flinstone vitamins because the prenatal vits. were too big.  Can you cut them in half?  I know when I took them they made me really sick.  So I took them at night right before I went to bed and that helped 100%!
