Anybody else hoping for a Christmas BFP?

I'm new here and just surfing through a few posts I've noticed there seems to be a lot of ladies due.for their period between Dec. 23rd-25th. I was hoping maybe I could find all you girls and we could compare notes and get to know each other if we all do find out we're preggo together =)

A little info on me. I'm a 25yr old USAF wife. This will be mine and my hubbys first child. We just started trying this month, I have been on BC for many years and just got off and my LMP was Nov 25th and I had a positive ovulation test Dec 8th so I ovulated the 9th, so I'm expecting my period on Christmas Eve. My hubby and I have had intercourse a few days prior to ovulation and the day plus four following and a couple times since. I've had quite a few symptoms already including frequent urination, sore breasts, slight naseua the last few mornings and increased appetite as well as occasionally feeling bloated and kinda weird and full especially when laying on my stomach. I took a pregnancy test yesterday and a couple days before with negative results. I'm planning on testing Christmas Eve (and again on Christmas for hopefully confirmation if positive) which I'm really hoping for a BFP because it would be extra special since that's the same day my hubby proposed and I'd also love to tell the family on Christmas as well.

So who else is having the same feelings as me and is hoping for an extra special Christmas present? =)

This is so nerve racking.. thanks for commenting back. It's good to hear real women's advice instead of trying to research all this. I believe I'm going to test again in the am and wait 10 minutes after then trash it if its negative. Still no AF though which is a good sign (: I use a period tracker on my phone to calculate my menstrual cycle so I should definitelyhave my period by Friday. I always have my period at the end of the month. I guess I will have to see. Also yesterday I was in a car for maybe 10 minutes and started feeling very nauseous, had to pull over but didn't get sick. Could have been something else. Just thought I would let you ladies know. I have been testing with first reaponse, any other suggestions on difderent tests?

Sorry, the other ladies are right that's what they call an evap line. A lot of times when people complain about "false positives" it's because of something like that. Never dig a test out of the trash -- it's guaranteed to mess with your head!

If your period doesn't come in a day or two just take another one. It can take a couple weeks for your hormone levels to build up enough that you get a positive HPT so just try to relax and see if AF comes or not.

No Kelly, that will be considered an evap line.

You have to read the test within the time frame. Usually an hour. But for the test to be accurate for pregnancy, the time frame allotted is usually around 10 mins for a 2nd line to show up or not

And on that note, I got my christmas BFP!! Well actually boxing day. I uploaded pics in my profile of what my HPT's looked like

You are not suppose to look at a pregnancy test usually after 10 minutes (some might vary on this time). After that time frame they are not valid. A lot of times you will get what is called an evaporation line and it will make the test look like a positive reading even if it is not. So once you throw it away do not look back, instead get a new one and test again a couple days later if AF has still not shown up!

So, I took my last test on 12-25 it showed up with just one dark line (negative) and 3 days later i got it out of the trash and now it has the faint positive line too? Does that mean im pregnant?

Okay I just recalculated everything on my period tracker and it is now saying I am supposed to start tomorrow.. :/

Yeah cramps are normal when you're preggers as well as when you're PMSing. I'm about 6.5 weeks and have been cramping like crazy off and on pretty much every day for over 2 weeks now.

Hey I wish u the best of luck but..... I quiet taking bc in oct of 2010 and it toke me exactaly a year to become pregnant found out oct 16 2011 im pregnant with first!! Just wanted for u to keep head strong and knw it may take awhile!!

I used a $1.00 test from the dollar store and got a positive right away! :)

My husband missed our first sons birth while he was in afghanistan. And the whole pregnancy so this tome I wasn't him here lol

The only urine test that has ever worked on me at home in early pregnancy is ClearBlue Easy (NOT the "early result" one, those have a bad track record of false results). First Response, ept, store brands, digitals, other versions of ClearBlue -- I've tried it all, nothing else seems to work on me, I don't know why. Most doctor tests don't even work on me the first couple weeks. I came up positive right away at the doctor's office this time but was almost 6 weeks at the time according to the ultrasound, and I don't know what they used.

Thanks so much! I am trying my hardest to be patient.. really hard to do so. I took my last one this morning. I think I may TRY to wait until Friday to see if I start, if I still have not I will test again. Thanks again.

There is a chance since you have not gotten your period. Try not to stress, you are either pregnant or you are not, and stress can actually delay your period. Some women will get positive tests really quickly while other women have to wait a bit longer, it depends on how quickly your body builds up the HCG hormone, is you build it up quick you will get a positive quick if you build it up slower it takes longer to get a positive. That is why they will tell you to use first morning urine, typically then you havnt gone pee for awhile and the hormone will get more concentrated and give a more accurate test. If you are drinking a ton of liquids so you can take a urine test you will end up deluding your urine and the hormone, so if you take a test during the day try to hold for 3-4 hours and then take the test. Input please.. my boyfriend  and I have just recently decided to have a baby I am 20 and it may seem crazy but we both want it more than anything. He already has one kid so i know its possible on his part. We tried the whole week i was fertile up to the day after I ovulated. A period tracker I have been using on my phone said I should have got my period on 12-25 its 2 days late so far. I have taken 3 pregnancy tests in the past week and the last one was this morning, but all of them were negative.. My breast are very tender and I have been cramping for 3 days like I'm going to start, but haven't. Is there still a chance? This is so stressful.

Wow I am in the same situation. I was pregnant in Sept lost the baby due to a blighted ovum underwent a d & c tried again on Dec. 8 th and found out Christmas eve I was pregnant again. I had wristbamds made for my husband and I that say hope and faith and I just keep praying everyday that this baby will be healthy.  I'm sorry to hear about your loss, but good luck with this baby I hope everything goes well. I know I will just keep praying.

My husband and I have been ttc for 5 months. This month I just didnt track and had a few drinks. The only symptoms I have is dull cramping and a huge zit on my chin and bloating.  Boobs just feel full but not sore. Lmp was 11/24 and I spotted, then had a very heavy period 4 days later lasting 6 days.  I got a uti two weeks ago so didnt think of the cramping.  next af was due 12/23. Tested that day and got a light line. Tested again the next day and it was definite. Baby dust for everyone!!!
