Anyone else underweight before pregnancy?

I'm 20, and always been underweight. I've never even hit 100 lbs. I've always stayed between 85-90 lbs. I'm 11 weeks 4 days and for the last week I've been stuck at 83lbs. Of course I'm going to talk to my doc about it at my next appt but wanted to get experiences or if it effected delivery? Any issues during the pregnancy? Everyone says I'll gain it back plus more in my second trimester. I've had horrible morning sickness so that's why I've lost some. Experiences would be great! I know everyone is different. Just wanting to hear possibilities. :)

I'm 4"11 and was 88 lbs before pregnancy.  During the first 12 weeks of my pregnancy I probably only gained 2 lbs.  After that is when my body went on a gaining spree.  I'm now 118 lbs (weighed last thursday)  probably 119 now but since you said you had morning sickness that's a huge cause in why a lot of women lose weight in pregnancy.  You'll be fine and eventually start gaining all that weight!

I was 98 pounds at 5'5, I gained 31 pounds durning my pregnancy. Had no complications, but he was 4 weeks early which I doubt had anything to do with my weight.
Was trying to gain as much weight as possible because my metabolism is so high, I lost weigh without doing anything. 5 days postpartum, and I'm already down to 115.

Don't worry too much. A girlfriend of mine was thin, when she got prego her morning sickness was so severe she lost 15lbs & even had to quit her job. She never gained much weight & had a healthy 8.5lb baby. I'm petite (5'2" & 110 lbs prepregnacy) w my 1st baby I gained 26lbs & my son was 7.9 lbs. My last 2 pregnancies I gained 30lbs & my babies were all over a healthy 7lbs.
W my 3rd pregnancy I had severe morning sickness (really it was 24hr sickness). My dr prescribed me Zofran (which is supposed to help) he said it was safe for baby. But there is a lot of info saying it's NOT safe for baby (can cause birth defects) so I never took it. What helped me feel better was saltine crackers, broth, ginger ale, candied ginger, Nila crackers. Really that's what I lived on my 1st trimester. You can try a sea sickness wrist band too. Make sure U take Ur prenatal vitamins, find a time of day when they make you less sick for me it was at night.

Me too! But you will be just fine! Your baby will grow with your body shape, and it doesn't mean your baby will be small either (even if you look small) I had a friend who is also petit and barley gained weighty and probably stayed about 100-110 her whole pregnancy and she didn't even look pregnant until 9 months. Well she ended up giving birth to a health 7lbs 5oz baby girl! Sometimes being small you'll show sooner but from what I've seen more than most of the time smaller women don't show until later on... But again, every woman is different!(:

See, I was underweight pre-pregnancy but I sort of had anorexia. I was prescribed adderall and I wouldn't eat for days at a time. I'm 5'6" and my healthy weight is about 130... Before pregnancy I was about 100 and then I got pregnant, had to stop my meds and I gained a whole 70 pounds and now I'm almost 6 months postpartum and I weigh a good 133 which is perfect. I didn't have issues during pregnancy besides excess weight gain and I had no complications during labor or anything! Good luck mama
