Based on symptoms alone (previous blood in urine, stubborn UTI, flank pain), It appears I may, may, have a kidney stone. I will get back to you all later in case one of you goes through this.

Ok so the amoxicillin didn't clear up my initial UTI, then it took the dr a week to get my labs in for my next sample which came back positive for e. coli. In the meantime the bacteria had a week to multiply w/o antibiotics. I'm now on nitrofurantoin and still have trouble emptying my bladder. Over the course of the medication I've noticed burning when I pee (a symptom I didn't have until a few days ago)- today it's pretty bad and tomorrow is my last day of medication. Has anyone else had a resistant UTI? Did your dr do another culture and wait for the results or did they put you on more meds immediately? I'm worried what the next few days w/o meds will allow the e.coli to do.
Turns out I had a UTI, a bit hard to detect. All clear now, knock on wood!
As long as you are going to see your dr about it there isn't much else you can do but wait. I have never had this problem. Good Luck to you.
