Anyone had blood in urine?

Hi girls, I've been having a little bit of blood in my urine, on and off, for the past few weeks. It shows up on my liner as carnation pink, and my midwife measured it in a urine sample (plus leukocytes, aka white blood cells). The urine sample was sent off and came back as mixed growth meaning it was impossible for the microbiologists to determine if I had a UTI. I provided another sample a few days ago and am awaiting its results (but there wasn't any blood or WBCs in it). I have also been getting "kidney" pain with the episodes of blood-in-urine. It doesn't burn to pee and my habits haven't really changed other than the fact I'm finally able to drink loads of water again (weeks of morning sickness dehydrated me). Has anyone had a kidney infection/inflammation/stone while pregnant? I don't have a fever. I'm going to the dr next week but am worried I'm not taking it seriously.

I had a Kidney Infection (not while pregnant but had one nonetheless this past May) and it was AWFUL. I didn't have "typical" UTI signs and so it went unnoticed for awhile. I was fine one day and the next I was vomiting non-stop, couldn't hold anything down and was exhausted because I couldn't sleep. I never had a fever, never had pain, never had anything. I thought I just had food poisoning or something because it hit so fast and hard---- I personally would go back sooner as you don't want this to get worse. I was hospitalized for a week on IV fluids and medicines because I was so sick and dehydrated.

Based on symptoms alone (previous blood in urine, stubborn UTI, flank pain), It appears I may, may, have a kidney stone. I will get back to you all later in case one of you goes through this.

Ok so the amoxicillin didn't clear up my initial UTI, then it took the dr a week to get my labs in for my next sample which came back positive for e. coli. In the meantime the bacteria had a week to multiply w/o antibiotics. I'm now on nitrofurantoin and still have trouble emptying my bladder. Over the course of the medication I've noticed burning when I pee (a symptom I didn't have until a few days ago)- today it's pretty bad and tomorrow is my last day of medication. Has anyone else had a resistant UTI? Did your dr do another culture and wait for the results or did they put you on more meds immediately? I'm worried what the next few days w/o meds will allow the e.coli to do.

Turns out I had a UTI, a bit hard to detect. All clear now, knock on wood!

As long as you are going to see your dr about it there isn't much else you can do but wait. I have never had this problem. Good Luck to you.
