Lol that was supposed to be hitting him in the mouth.
Thanks for all the advice. I looked in my folder the nurse prepared and it says $2400 had to be put down 2 months prior to babies birth. So I was like whoa where will I get that from. I barely get my taxes back so couldn't use that to cover it. I will find out about medicade but SC is weird. I don't make millions but I work 2 jobs and that normally counts me out for any help. I have to pay for my sons schooling this year so I don't want to get burden with prenatal care costs. My bf got on my nerves when he asked me why are the appts so high when I have insurance. All I could think about was hiring him in the throat Lol. All he needs to do is help. Don't question me.
Thanks ladies!
Ours was going to be 375 EACH visit! Plus the 20% for the hospital which was another $2000. I got on a form of Medicaid through the state and it covers everything that my main insurance wouldn't. It will go down some when the deductible is met but where my big cost was, was the 20% that the insurance wouldn't cover. Definitely ask human services if they have anything that can help, and you can also do a payment plan with most doctors and hospitals.
Here in the UK,unless you willingly go private, everything is paid for through the NHS (national health service) can't image paying for this....but I suppose we do pay for this service to be kept running even when we are not using it as my hubby and I both pay tax through our wages!x
Once u meet ur deductible your costs will go down. Also speak to ur dr and set up a payment plan that way ur costs are not all upfront. That's what mine did. Good luck

Like the others have said ... check your states insurance programs (if you live in the US). Most have programs for expecting moms & young children. I went through my regular clinic to get it but most you do online or you can go to your local DHS office & they can help you out.
Idk bouy ur state but in Illinois we have a program called Moms n babies.. Its lke medicaid but they hAVe a supplment program which covers the cost ur insurance doesn't cover but they have income limits a a does medicaid. But id def chek intoit
Even though you have insurance, my advice would be to apply for Medicaid...
well I know before I switched doctors each appointment with my midwife was $200 out of pocket because my insurance didn't cover midwives.
I have medicaid through the state and in WI that covers everything and for any visits while pregnant there is no co-pay either
