Avoiding Pregnancy

Hi,

I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend around 4 days ago and I suspect that I might've gotten pregnant. My breasts are swollen and sore but my period is still 10 days away. I was wondering if someone could please tell me what I can do, or take? I don't want to wait another 2 weeks to take a pregnancy test and then possibly have to undergo an abortion. Is there any precautionary measures I can take at this point? I am not on birth-control. Is it too late to take the morning-after pill?

Thanks!

Sounds like you did have sex at the time of ovulation. The only thing to do now is wait until your period is due to take a pregnancy test. If you're pregnant, abortion isn't the only answer. Afterall, the baby didn't ask to be conceived and terminated. Adoption or keeping the baby IS possible.

But you don't need to worry about that right now. Worry about whether or not you're pregnant first. If you are, you can contact Birthright.org and talk to them about your concerns. They also offer free pregnancy tests.

Sounds like you might have gotten pregnant, since you had sex two weeks before your period. I'm glad you wouldn't want to have an abortion. I hope that's what you meant?

i agree with the others, you've pushed it. i think the coil can be fitted up to 5 days after sex. but you have quite possibly got yourself in a bit of a pickle through irresponsibility. best of luck.

dark is right. to late for the morning after pill. that has to be taken within 72 hours. if you don't want to be pregnant why are you having unprotected sex? the only thing you can do is wait. it's to early to take an hpt and you shouldn't be experiencing any symptoms yet.

It's too late for the morning after pill. You want some precautionary measures............ Don't have unprotected sex. It's too early to take a pregnancy test, and too early for u to even have symptoms.
