BACK PAIN

I'm 10 weeks pregnant & am having bad back pain! Before I was pregnant I wld take flexeril to relieve the pain. Is that safe for baby to take one now? Help!?

NO, do not take anything without speaking to your doctor first! There are safer options and you need proper medical advice.

I've also been having back and pelvic pain with this pregnancy. Can you take it easy/slow and just rest when you have pain? Are you able to cope with the pain -- it will be better for your baby if you can find alternate ways to deal with it.

I've found mine is transitory: I grow a bit, I get pain, my joints or nerves have issues or my pelvis and so I take it easier on those days. Sleeping with a pillow between my legs makes a BIG difference. I also have warm baths at night -- helps relieve discomfort.

If it's really bad you can get refferal to an obstetrical physiotherapist or massage therapist -- I'm starting mine next week. It's supposed to help.
