BFP but i am so not wanting this right now...

well ladies, i was late for my period as of yesterday. i took a test and got a very faint bfp. its so faint you can barely see it.

i am so mad at myself right now. we are moving into our new house on thursday. this is a huge (and expensive) step for us. i cannot afford to miss work or be sick. i know how this pregnancy will end. after 5 miscarriages, i am not feeling confident about this one. i havent told anyone about this. i just needed to get it off of my chest. i know i am gonna catch a lot of flack for getting pregnant again and for being upset about it. i wish i would have been able to go on birth control, but since i have a history of blood clots i cant be on it. my doctor wouldnt do the copper iud, so ive been trying to find a doctor who would. ugh...sorry just needed to vent.

thanks me too. i can remember the days when ttc and getting a bfn was a huge let down. now today i went through feeling terrified if i got a bfp. its so strange, because i never thought i would be like that. then again, i never thought i would have gone through this many losses either.

well, i got the test from a girl i work with because she recently had a m/c and has been ttc recently. she had one in her bag lol. i took the test and it was a walgreens brand. nothing showed in the results screen, which i would assume means its a bad test (its supposed to show the one line to show it worked, and then a plus or minus). i guess ill go on my lunch break and grab one from the store. i go to lunch in 1 hour so ill let you ladies know something as soon as i do! kinda glad that test didnt work cause i dont trust the blue dye tests anyway.

i still havent tested...and still no af.

i was put on the lovenox because of mthfr. they told me that was one of the reasons i was miscarrying. i also have low progestrone. i havent started back on the lovenox yet because i dont even know for sure if i am preggo. i am going to test here in a minute tho.

Then just let it be and take your supplements.  Are you going to start taking lovenox?  I know that you have a blood clotting issue, but is that related to the pregnancy or is a risk to you?
What I mean is, is the blood clotting issue what's keeping you from having a successful pregnancy OR is the blood clotting issue worse and life threatening for you during pregnancy?
I really don't want to give you the wrong advice so I'm hessitant to really say anything but to make an appointment with your doctor and let it be until your doctor tells you otherwise.

In my mind, at this very delicate time in the developing embryo, I wouldn't do much in terms of chemicals or things to put in your body that aren't natural because at this critical time there are cells forming, dividing, creating, once the fetus is formed then it can take more...but right now I wouldn't do anything that would compromise the development of the embryo, IF you ARE pregnant.  I would continue the small dose of aspirin that you are taking, continue the vitamins and the omega 3 and hope for the best.  Once the doctor tells you otherwise then follow his advice.

I am sooo hopeful for you :)

I'd say  take one, but I wouldn't, it would make me too nervous before the move and then your wheels start spinning, I think its better to leave it alone for a week at least and then make a Dr.'s appointment.
I don't know this pregnancy after my m/c I didn't even get the hcg levels checked and I didn't get an ultrasound until 8 weeks.  I left it to faith, god, nature , fate whatever, to decide if this pregnancy was going to work or not and didn't mess much with it and I'm 30 weeks now.
But make a doctor's appointment as soon as you can, and don't worry about an hpt, there's ntohing you can do about it anyway until you get checked out by a doctor besudes taking the vitamins and supplements.

BTW morning sickness is a great sign of a good pregnancy :)

i havent taken another test to see if it says positive, but i feel so sick to my stomach today. i ate a little bit but i still feel like i am gonna puke everywhere. ugh...i was planning on waiting until after the move to test again but considering my history of miscarriage i guess i should go take another one huh?

There's tons of benefits of Omega 3's besides the benefits to the baby.  I started taking omega 3 for my health and as a good consequence, the benefits of the baby, I will continue taking it after the baby is born.

Mumita~ I didn't know about all the benefits for Omega3's other than neurological benefits to baby.... I've taken them since I got pregnant. :)

After all you have been through, I don't blame you for being upset. However, I am happy for you! I am keeping my fingers crossed and I think Mumita gave great advice about the Omega 3.

I wish you nothing but the best and keep us posted girl!

Can you continue with the aspirin instead of lovenox?  It seems like it would be a very high dose compared to aspirin and maybe too much in early pregnancy when everything is sooo delicate.  Again, I'm not a doctor so I don't know.  I just generally tend to stay away from too much prescription meds.

Anyway, I am happy that you are pregnant eventhough I know that you are scared, nervous, and generally not too happy about it.  But if its meant to be, it will stick :)  Remember that your odds to have another miscarriage even if its 40%, there's still a 60% chance of having a successful pregnancy.  That sounds like good odds to me.  So stay positive.  If its not meant to be well maybe on another ocassion it will be...just keep your hopes up :) I had one miscarriage, I know how horrible it is but you can't really argue with nature...just hope for the best :)

Why are you taking Lovenox?
Omega 3 help reduce the likelyhood of blood clots....I would ask the doctor is there are any risks with taking Omega 3 supplements and lovenox at the same time.  I do know that Omega 3 does help reduce blood clots so you probably would be better off with one blood thinner instead of two.  Of course, I would go the natural route and just take the Omega 3 and not the Lovenox BUT I'm not a doctor and I don't really know your health history.  But I'd rather go natural and see what happens.
Please ask before taking both at the same time, sometimes it is not recommended.  And please ask your doctor of anything that you do.
Omega 3 is great stuff and it helps with inflametion (for lupus) and skin and blood, its just overall good but I'm affraid how it will interact with that medicine.

Who knows, maybe this will be a good one :)

Hang in there sweetie! And I'm sure this is really hard for you and although I haven't been through 5 m/c I did go through 2 and I know how hard it is to be excited because you are nervous of the same thing happening again. I truly wish you the best and hope this little one sticks for you!! Keep us posted and try to stay positive.

i did start taking the omega 3 on friday oddly enough. i decided to starting taking it after you told me all of the benefits it has for people with lupus. my doctor said that it couldnt hurt to go on it, and that a lot of people have had sucess with it.

i wish i wouldnt have thrown that test away now! im gonna give it a couple more days and see what happens. i had some prenatals left and i take folic acid every day. looks like i need to go back on my lovenox shots!

Laura, I remember how much you wanted a baby...I know it could be a wrong time for you but every pregnancy is a blessing....please relax and wait for some time to see how this pregnancy progresses and don't be upset! Maybe now is going to be your time and you finally get the baby you wanted?! Just wait it out and I hope that it works for you!

I think its great, a pregnancy is a great possibility, your chances of having a baby to term are higher than your chances of having another miscarriage, just think positive.

HOWEVER- Please start taking the prenatal vitamins as soon as possible and also take one Omega 3 (fish oil) capsule every day with your pre-natal vitamins, it can help prevent miscarriages, you can read about it on my journal.

Take care, and I know you are nervous, worried, etc.  But its there for a reason :)
