well the only thing is that she said the baby messures a week behind what it should be. so with the blood in the placenta, i just hope everything is okay.
When I had my 6 week U/S they found a bleed behind the placenta.......I was not placed on bedrest,as the bleed was small...It resolved itself and I have a healthy little 7 month old now!
Gerry, bump your post back to the top. Sometimes they get buried as other posts get responses.
I actually was rushed to the ER from bleeding on Monday due to my placenta. I have a low lying placenta and I have to be on bed rest now. I had posted my concern on here but no one responded but yea, I am having a problem with my placenta as well. Doctor says they are just waiting to see my placenta move away from my cervix. He said it shouldnt be a big problem but needs to looked at frequently. My baby is doing fine. Hope this helps
Oh, thanks for that info natemomma!
I had what they called a placental lake which are seen on scans as black areas on the surface or deeper inside the placenta, and are actually pools of blood. It wasn't too large and by my 30(ish) week had resolved itself. It is something to just keep an eye on.
Yeah i guess she will find out when she goes again, i could not understand either, thing with the placenta, maybe that is what they meant. i think they said worse case is she could misscarry. I think the baby may not be gettin the propper nutrients which may have something to do with the placenta and the baby being smaller. But i figured i would ask. Thanks!!
Dates can be off by 1-2 weeks and it's fine. Mostly because not every woman has a 28 day cycle when calculating how far along she is when she is pregnant.
I don't understand about blood being in the placenta. There is blood in the placenta as the mother nourishes baby. Perhaps they meant blood *behind* the placenta? If that is the case then it can go either way and she should be on bedrest.
