BV treatment during early pregnancy
I frequently suffer from BV symptoms, sometimes multiple times a month. I am about 6 weeks pregnant and have not been to my first prenatal visit yet. I currently am experiencing BV symptoms and am wondering if it's safe for the baby if I were to use my OTC homeopathic BV vaginal inserts?
I have had it many time previously and when I was first pregnant about 10 weeks I started having symptoms I just called my doctor and she called in a prescription for me....
I would call the Dr. and get in sooner. I think they can cause preterm labor/miscarriage when pregnant.
I have had bv numerous times out my life. Seems like I am prone to it and have had it twice this pregnancy. Im 29+6 btw. I would consult with your dr first before doing so. I was prescribed the oral medicine. Metrodinazol. Something like that. But if you call in saying that you are having an occurrence of bv they will see you right away.
