Big baby?!

My sister went to see a specialist today she's 24 weeks and they already think the baby is between 4-6lb :/ how accurate are they? She's having another one at 32 weeks to check the measurement again. Her last baby weighed 10lb 6oz at birth and they nearly dislocated her hips trying to get him out, his shoulders went stuck 2 years ago. I never had any scans after 20 weeks so not sure on how accurate they are after that stage. Anyone here had a first big baby, what did your second weigh? x

My first we only got two ultrasounds and they didn't do weight and all that but my second child they told me would probably be 8lb 5oz and she came out weighing the exact same as her sister 8lb 4oz. I'm currently 24 weeks pregnant with another girl and my scan at 19 weeks put her at 9oz  whereas with my second at 19 weeks she weighed 10oz so I think they're pretty reliable but it also depends on the technicians experience.

My sister had her baby last week and he was 8lb 5oz so i think she was relieved not to have any troubles during the birth lol although she was in slow labour for a week

I just had an ultrasound at 23.5 weeks and my baby measured 1lb 3oz I think they are off quite a bit. At that rate she is going to have a 15lb baby!

I had an ultrasound the day before my twins were born. They measured them at about 5.5 lbs each. My daughter ended up being 4lbs 11 oz and my son was 4lbs 5oz.

That's what I thought were not too worried yet because they said it'll be more accurate at 32 weeks and she's being tested for diabetes in 4 weeks

My first was 9 lbs 11 oz @ 40 wks....second was 9 lbs 1oz(@ 38wks) and had an ultrasound @ 34 wks n measured her as 7.5 lbs..so they were  right on for her larger weight..my third was 9 lbs 6 oz @ 39 wks..my ultrasounds have been good at predicting weight..
