Honestly I am against hormonal birth control it messes with your body. It made me really sick. I would look into birth control with out hormones.
I used nuvaring for almost 3 years and loved it. I tried patch, pills, depo, and iud. The ring was fav, less side effects, only thought bought it every three weeks, comfortable, stayed put, loved it. If i was not getting tubes tired this time it would be my choice again!
My doctor prescribed me Jolivette which is a pill you have to take everyday because I'm breastfeeding. I still haven't taken it yet because of the reviews I've read about people gained 15-40 pounds in 2 months of taking the pill. So I'm not putting that crap in my mouth it's still sitting on my dresser lol. I'm looking for another contraceptive cuz I don't wanna have any more babies at the moment.
I don't know the actually name of the birth control I will be going on after my baby is born, but my doctor called it the mini pill and by it's self its only so-so but when combined with breast feeding it's amazing something with hormones and whatnot . it's the best option I have found so far because me and my husband only want to wait a year inbetween kids before trying again. and before this baby I was on the depo for a month and it took us almost 2 years to get pregnant so I am a stickler for birth control that won't mess me up that much...we don't really believe in birth control but we have some events coming up next summer where I can't be pregnant which I know is selfish but after next summer we are leaving it up to god as to when and if we have more kids
I may look into that one. I read that it's the only reversible birth control that's 99% effective and 100% hormone free. And it also said:
Because ParaGard doesn’t contain hormones, you don’t have to worry about hormone-related side effects such as associated weight gain, mood swings, acne or headaches. And unlike many other forms of birth control, ParaGard won’t interfere with your natural menstrual cycle. ParaGard® is an intrauterine contraceptive (IUC) that’s been used by women for over
20 years in the U.S. ParaGard® is more than 99% effective
at preventing pregnancy. In fact, it’s one of the most effective forms of birth control available, and it lasts as long as you want: two, five, even up to 10 years.
Alaysha, or anyone, what is paraguard? I've been thinking a lot abt birth control options as well. My recent baby makes 4 for us, so I'm pretty sure we are done! But I don't want to do any thing permenant!
I had the implanon... which is the one they put in ur arm i liked it for the most part.. its also safe to have while ur nursing if u plan on nursing u need to make sure ur bc is hormone free. If ur not nursing then u have alot more options.. i think there is also i procedure for men to which is easliy reversible. I have one child who is 2.5 and one due in 28 days and we are totally done after this! So ill be looking into birth control to

I'm going back on the Nuvaring. When your period starts you insert it for three weeks then remove. And repeat. Very easy, it's never came out on its own, and I'm forgetful when it comes to taking pills.
I have paraguard. So far I have no real complaints. Its non-hormonal so I'm not acting all weird or having strange side effects. I also don't have to remember to take anything. It lasts for 10 years and can come out whenever and you shouldn't have issues getting pregnant right away when its out because for it being non-hormonal.
Alot of contraceptions you can catch quickly after coming off. If you see a doc they can discuss this with you too. I had the pill but it caused my hormones to go funny (hormone disorder) And made me depressed and gain wait. The rod in my arm gave me headaches, weight gain, depression etc so I really don't get on with anything hormonal.. guess its condoms for us next time!
I was on the pill for 5 years.. as soon as I came off it I got pregnant within 2 Months.
I always did the pill but there is the patch also.
my son will be 11 months* Sorry, totally distracted lol
oh goodness Lol.. Well I know for sure we want ONE more baby after this one just not so close like they are now. My will be 11 months old on the 7th and I'm due in 17 days...so guess we didn't wait long :p
But, after the 3rd baby, boy OR girl, it doesn't matter to me we are BOTH getting snipped lol.. I don't see myself with 4 kids. Of course, I want a girl but if I end up with 3 boys, that's fine too.
I had the mirena before I had my son. I'm not getting it again and will be 'shopping' something new too. I have my husband on the vesectomy research plan right now. :) Pretty sure this is out last. I feel like I have done my duty on hormone birth control and a lot of the other methods I don't think are reliable. So...snip snip.
You can have injection every three months..the pill you take daily...rod in your arm.. problem is different things work for diff people. I have a hormone disorder so my body doesn't agree with any contraception with hormones in. Very limiting. I'd visit your doc and have a chat to pick one that's besat fr you. Of course nothing is 100% effective
My bestfriend and a couple of others I know have the one that goes in your arm for three years...I forgot what its called lol....sorry
