Birth Control question

My girlfriend had been on birth control for about two years. She always had her period on a saturday. Always. She had to stop taking the pills for a month (her prescription was messed up), but once she got her pills back, she didn't wait for her period to start before starting the pills. So my question is, would it be normal for her period to start on a saturday still? Because the period after she started the pills again started on a saturday and lasted for nine days. The concern we had was that she still had a few active pills left. And again this month, it started before her pills were done. I had concerns that it could be implantation bleeding, because she said this one was very light and lasted for about 4 days (she said it was enough that she had to have a tampon, but there was still some light spotting). However, pregnancy is not something that I think is very likely (we use her b/c, a condom, and withdrawal everytime). Plus she has had numerous things going against her (on/off/back on the pills, a case of mono, antibiotics, quit her job/stress about finding another one). I didn't really start worrying about pregnancy again though until today, when she told me she has been sick to her stomach alot today (and felt queasy the night before). However, I one possible reason for this is that, because the pharmacy wasn't open on Sunday, she didnt get her pills until monday. So she took the pill she missed as soon as she got them and then took her regular one a few hours later and went to bed. She said that the last time that happened, she felt the same way the next day (and that I was worrying to much.)

So again, my question is would the saturday start make since? And how worried should I be about her being pregnant?

(I know that no one is a doctor on here, I just want some opinions)

yea I had heard that about the antibiotics, and we were very careful (we used a condom and the withdrawal method). But thank you that just confirms what I have read about stress and things effecting your period.

The day of the week your period starts on can vary.  Anytime you are stopping and starting BC your system may get irregular.  Nerves and stress can effect your cycles as well.  One thing to always keep in mind though,  antibiotics can cause BC to not be as effective.  Always be more precausious during the times that that antibiotics are being taken.

thank you. I think that the stomach ache has alot to do with her nerves to (because of her mom's surgery). Because she says that it is nausea sometimes now, but mostly her stomach just hurts. But she says it's not like period cramps, it just hurts. Plus, if I can get her mind off of it, she is fine, but as soon as she has time to think about it, it starts hurting again.

Going off the pills for that short period of time can mess up her cycle and the early spotting can simply be because she didnt take them when she was supposed to. And anitbiotics can effect birthcontrol pills as well. And when i used to take them if i missed one and took two like she did it does make you feel sick.  So I think you can relax... but just in case why dont you have her take a home preg. test
