Ok i just started taking birthcontrol for the first time ever!!!...and i started taking it dec23 which is also the same day i started my period......It is now january 7 and i am still on my period which means iv been on my period for 15days now???...I just want to know is this normal cause it's real light!!!......And everytime me and my boyfriend had sex he always came in me and i never gotten pregnant??Not saying that i want to but im worried that i can't have kids period.,..Can somebody PLEASE HELP ME OUT HERE?? : (

BCP's are wierd like that but that can happen for the first 3 mos of any pills. I have that problem everytime I start a new pill and the doc always tells me the same thing....."It's normal for the first 3 mos." The only pill I did not have that problem with was YAZ. But every other pill I have tried I bled pretty much all the time the first 3 mos. Just depends on your body and how long it takes your body to adjust.

I was on the patch for 4 years. I highly reccomend it. It did it's job and I never had breakthrough bleeding. I switched to implanon, the implant that's the new norplant device. (goes in your arm). When I got it I was on my period. 2 weeks later, I started again. After that I had light bleeding everyday for 3 months until I got it taken out. If the bleeding continues then you should call your doctor or read over the side effects. Sometimes bleeding like that is normal.

I got pregnant on that pill so if i were you id be extremely carefull!! And use condoms also!! Also if your still bleeding you should see a doc..its possible you were pregnant and maby having a misscarriage! But the pill can really mess with your hormones too! So to be on the safe side i would get to a doc asap to see y your still bleeding! Good luck

I started taking the pill in November and I had a 20 day period, first 4-5 days were like a normal period then for the remainder of the time I had like a light pinkish/brown discharge. I too was also worried but I think it's normal for some women to experience this??
