Birthing ball

Is there really any difference between a birthing ball and an anti-burst exercise ball?  I'd like to buy one lol.

I used to do quick situps and backward stretches on my balance ball when I was working, until she said I really wasn't supposed to...oops lol...side bends should work though.

I wasn't really planning on back bends lol I couldn't very well do them pre pregnancy lol.  I was going to do more of a supported side bend to stretch my sides and back lol.

You're not really supposed to lean backwards when you're pregnant (at least says my prenatal yoga instructor) but this sounds like a great idea. I love exercise balls, have one in my office at work, gonna have to check into this. And I'm 5'2" and have tried the 55 cm one, but I always feel like it's made for a midget lol.

Yeah you have to have an anti burst one lol that's the last thing you need is to be laying on your stomach on that thing and have it bust bad for you and baby

I was at walmart today and I looked at their exercise balls.  They were between $8-$30 depending in size, brand, and durability (some cheaper ones weren't labeled "anti-burst" o.o scary).

I've been looking into it because I'm interested in getting one and they are the same thing you are supposed to get a 55cm one if you are 5"2 or under and a 65 cm if you are taller than 5"2 everything I've seen online is like $50 but I haven't checked like walmart or kmart or target

I only used one when in labor and the nurse brought me a few to try - I found the one that let me have my thighs parallel to the ground, or even a little tilted down toward the hips was most comfortable for me while in labor. They do have a bunch at the hospital at which I delivered so I guess like everything, different people have different preferences! Hopefully, others will reply and weight in so you can get a better feel for what size tends to suit most.

If you are in the States, they seem to crop at shops like TJ Maxx quite often at big discounts.

Nope - they're the same. I would suggest one on the smaller side.
