Bleeding between periods since a year

I am 29 years old married with 2 children. Last year i had brown discharge between my periods and this continued several months. This brown discharge increased and bleeding started right after 3 or 4 days after my periods. I was on a progestin pill since 3 months and i was really relaxed these months. Now i am asked to have a low mg combination pill (progyluton), but i am bleeding now since 20 days after my regular period. Is it that I am having any hormonal imbalance or something else??
I have had a pap smear and it showed Chronic cervicitis. I had an ultrasound and it was normal. So should i use hormonal pills to straighten things out or some other tests are necessary because progestron pill ( Primolut N) was really effective in my case??

Have you ever been tested for Chlamydia(sp)? I had bleeding and abdominal pain in between periods and tested positive for Chlamydia. Carrying this STD for a long period of time without being diagnosed or treated can cause infertility.

I really don't know all the terms you spoke of but tell me what chronic cervicitis is? It could be causing the bleeding. It could also be hormonal. A simple blood draw will show if your hormones are off balance.
