Child benefit

Whats this thing thats been on the news about child benefits being cut? Or if ur recievin child benefits u will be made to pay it back through tax its quite confusing lol

I only work 8 hours a week and earn an embarrassing 200 quid a month am not entitled to maternity pay so im kinda depending on child benefits for my baby, my boyfriend works full time and earns 250 quid a week but we worked it out his wages would b for his car, house rent and gas/eletric and food and my benefits would go toward treating our baby and ourselfs from time to time so tht ***** if there being cut

We arent dumb rofl we're just under educated about other countries language. My Dad, retired Navy, once told me of a trip to England he made and these girls that were talking to his buddies called cigarettes fags.

Me personally I want to go to Europe with my family sooo bad lol. Irish and Scottish are in my blood so Ive been dying to go and knowing my luck, my obsession wouldnt let me come back lol

I was actualy confused abt this. I tried apppling for sure start maternity grant an they told me I cant get it. becoz I am gettin maternity pay an also becoz I dont get any benefits only a lil pit of my housing is paid. If I was over 25 I would be able to get it becoz I would be able to get working tax credit. Anyone had problem woth sure start??? I hope you dont mind me asking this question on ur post...

Its been cut for people earning above 60,000.. People below that will be getting there child benefit but they have reduced some amount few yrs ago... We r hving our first my dh told me £20 i think will be givn every week.. But i m not sure his pay is 21,000pa so it might be less for us...

Aw thats fine then lol I was worried that when we get our own place money would b really tight for us and we wouldnt b able to give our girl everything she desires. Ay its unfair how people who dont work and dony try to get a job earn the same money as me who works part time I think they should b forced into volenteer jobs so they can earn there benefits

Don't worry its been cut for the highist earners (over £60,000)  and if they don't ring inland revenue to stop it they will have to pay it back through tax. My husband doesn't earn near that so it won't effect us!
