Continuously conflicting pregnancy tests???

Hi, I've scoursed the internet for answers and have found none so I'm going crazy. In the last 3 days I've taken 8 hpts, 5 of which have been faint positives and 3 have been negative but they keep happening and I'm confused since I am now between 14 dpo and 16 dpo (my closest estimation).

I wasn't having any symptoms except that last week my stomach was cramping a little for one day and I wasn't expecting my period yet, and it tends to be late sometimes so I was expecting it anytime between monday 2/23 and today 2/27 but a few days ago my boobs started feeling really heavy so I started to wonder if I could be pregnant and went out and bought 3 first reponse tests and it came with a free digital test. I took a regular one in the afternoon and a faint pink line showed up within the first three minutes. Even though I heard that a line is a line I didn't really believe it bc when I was pregnant with my daughter I took a few tests and they all had very bright lines so I took another one later that night and it was also a faint pink line. So the next morning (yesterday) I took the digital one and it was negative which was confusing so during lunch I went and bought a different test (Answer) and instead of peeing on the stick I peed in the cup and dipped the Answer test in it and the last of the regular first response tests. Well the first response said negative and the Answer had a faint pink line!

At this point I was GOING CRAZY. I just need to know either way, my personality doesn't do well with not knowing things so since I recently started a new job I don't even have a doctor to go to so I searched and found one and they can't see me until the 8th week which won't help me in terms of blood tests. So of course I went and bought more first response tests and took one last night that came up with a faint positive line again and again this morning when I woke up I took another one and it was negative which absolutely no line. What the **** is going on? Am I losing my mind? I have heard of ppl having a few positive tests following a few negative tests that could be attributed to a chemical pregnancy, but I don't understand why I keep getting faint positives in teh afternoon and at night and them complete negatives in the morning when it's supposed to be teh best time to test?

Does anyone have any thought? I'm so baffled.

Okay, next time this happens, wait three days before re-testing. Otherwise it's a lot of money wasted and a lot of stress. First Response is very accurate at picking up the lowest levels of HCG- it is the most sensitive test on the market. Even more sensitive than the ones doctors use in their office.

Digital tests tend to not be as sensitive, which is probably why you got a NO on that one.

It sounds to me like you are having a very early miscarriage possibly. Unless you are one of those pregnant women that bleed in pregnancy. My advice to you is to get a blood test done because it is the only way to know exactly where your HCG levels are at. Anything under 10 is not pregnant.

many, many women experience this.
and it could very well be a chemical pregnancy.

Because most women don't test until their period is missed, they have no idea that what they're experiencing is not a period, but a very early miscarriage.

Try this website, PeeOnAStick.com.
she has SEVERAL different brands of tests that she tries and gets MULTIPLE
results from.

call your ob/gyn and let them know what's going on.

I would wait until tomorrow morning to see if you've gotten your period and if you do then it was probably just a chemical pregnancy.  I had those for two months prior to getting pregnant.  But the werid thing with me is I would wait until the week prior to my expected period and take a test it would come back positive.  Then when my period was suspose to be here I'd take another test and it would be negtive and within a few hours I would start to get my period.  So like I said I would wait until tomorrow to see if you've gotten your period, if not then I would try and make an appointment with your doctor for a blood test, that way you can know for sure.  Well good luck hope that you are preggers.

Well I actually just now started feeling slight cramps in my lower stomach and went to pee and a few drops of blood came out so maybe I was pregnant and am now miscarrying. Don't know. This is not how my period usually starts and the 5 positive tests would lead me to believe I was pregnant and maybe this is the reason for the negative test this morning. Oh boy.

If the ob can't get you in until the 8th week you should be able to go to a general practitioner just for the bloodwork.  It would be worth it for peace of mind.

Get a blood test done and stop spending the money on the home pregnancy tests

Well the truly weird thing about it all is that all the negative tests have been with first morning urine and all the positives have been in the afternoon or evening so if the morning one is the most accurate then it would seem that I'm not pregnant at all, except for the 5 other tests????

Positives are positives, if you continue to take them, some are bound to turn up negative. I'd say, before you go to bed take a drink of water, then don't pee at all during the night, as soon as you wake up, pee & use THAT urine to take a test with, first morning urine is the most accurate! EITHER WAY I'd get a blood test done as soon as you can, 5/8 positive, I'd say you're pregnant! Congrats and let us know! :]

Did you take the test withe your first morning urine?  That makes a difference because if you are drinking a lot before you test, you could be diluting your urnie, thus getting a negative PG test.  The best bet would be to call your doctor and request a blood test,  Then  you will know for sure what is going on.  Good luck and please keep us posted
