Contractions?

We'll since last night I have like a stabbing pain in my back hips and lower stomach( it feels like my uterus is in a lot of pain). I really don't know if it's cramping or what but I got it last night, consistantly(but not real close together) today, and I'm having more tonight so far . My stomach gets hard but not like the lower part it's like the middle where babies back is. Is this contractions? I'm 40 weeks as of tmrw

Oh okay. Could it be possible to have back labor and that could be what it is? Bc that's where the pain is mostly at.

It's not contractions if only part of your belly is getting hard. When you get a contraction you can actually see your belly turning a different shape where your whole belly is tightening

Ya I haven't really been timing them but I'd say between 10-15 maybe even 20 mins.

Usually with contractions your belly is hard all over. Mine have been starting in my back, going around to my belly and all the way into my groin before easing up. I've been having them since last night too. The suckish thing is that they aren't getting much closer together or more intense. (They went from ten or fifteen minutes apart to maybe seven but they don't really feel all that bad)
