Decaf Drinks

Is there a limitation on how many DECAF drinks Pregnant women can drink? My entire Pregnancy thus far (22 weeks) I haven't had an ounce of Caffeine (well coffee, tea, and soda) I have chocolate every now and then! But I've been so good with not having coffee and tea. Even though I know its safe to have a cup of caffeine a day. But recently I've just been craving the taste...so Decaf coffee and tea does the trick! I don't drink it often, but I'm finding myself having a cup of decaf coffee or tea a day. I know its only a cup...and its decaf but I just feel like since I haven't been doing it thus far that now I feel like I'm drinking it all the time! (which I'm not) but it just feels that way. So I guess my question is, is it safe to have a decaf drink or two a day? Are their limitations just like caffeinated drinks?

P.S. My Ultrasound is today!! ONE HOUR! Can't wait to update everyone!!

Yea... I have never heard of a limit.  But, "decaf" drinks still have caffeine in them.  I have a caffeine allergy and thought "Well, I will just drink decaf instead."  But, my doctor told me that there is still caffeine in there, just not as much as regular.  I am sure it isn't enough to do "damage" so to speak.  I can't imagine why it would be a problem if you had one cup of decaf something a day.  Give your doctor a call and see what they think, but I am sure they won't be concerned.

Good luck at your ultrasound!  We have ours on Friday and I am thrilled :)

I think it's fine.  I have never heard of a limit.  I wouldn't worry about it at all.

Good luck with your ultrasound!!!
