I think you should go.  Just makes sure to tell her that you already have the necessities fir the baby right now and ask for larger size clothes, diapers, maybe things that aren't really needed but would be fun or nice to have. Just things that could be used. Or maybe you can donate whatever you don't need to a  orphanage or something of that sorts.  Make it a charity event or for the babies in foster care where you live.

Dont stress over it. Let her know one last time that you dont want it. When she insists tell her fine but you wont be there and to have fun

I didn't want one either at first because my family is dysfunctional but my mother in law wanted to and she just her all in preparing for it so I decided to suck it up. My only family that showed up was my step mom and sister and cousin. The rest was my bfs family. I still had a good time and it went better then I thought and it meant a lot someone wanted to do that for me. My aunt was suppose to throw one for me but backed out for petty reasons. Even if it's small or hate parties for you just appreciate someone wants to do something for you. And who knows you may be surprised at your shower!

Don't see why anybody would make a big deal out of a baby shower. It helps you by making it so you don't have to buy everything. Also 2 hours isn't that long of a drive.

Be thankful at least whether you like it or not. She's doing something for you and it will help you with baby clothes and whatever they give you
