Dots on Breast

I just noticed that on my areola I have like 5-8 little dots, some are white but then some are red.  What is this?

omg yes i dont know if im pregnany yet,but my boobs and nipples have gotten bigger,the ring around my areola is alittle darker,and ive always had very few unoticeable bumps on one nipple but now they are bigger!!! and more have come out!!! could it be i am pregnant???

Oh no I am not concurned about being pregnant, just wondering what they were.

I think even just being a hormonal woman causes them to be more noticeable too...like msgorgeous and I had them while we were not pregnant.  If you are concerned about being pregnant, take a test.  There are more symptoms which, in my humble opinion, should be considered first before you over analyze these montgomery glands.  Good luck.

They are called montgomery glands. If enlarged they can be a pregnancy sign.. I never noticed any before of my breasts and now I am pregnant and have loads of them. I cut and paste the article below about them for you:

"Soon after a woman finds out that she is pregnant, she will begin to notice some dramatic changes in her breasts. The glands of Montgomery, or Montgomery's tubercles, are the tiny ‘bumps’ scattered around the areola (the darker area which rings the nipple). During pregnancy these glands enlarge and they remain enlarged while breast-feeding. They can vary greatly in number, averaging between four and 28 per areola. Montgomery originally described these glands as ‘a constellation of miniature nipples scattered over a milky way’.
It is believed that these sebaceous, or oil-producing glands, secrete a lubricating and protective substance, altering the skin's pH and discouraging bacterial growth. These glands also secrete a small amount of milk. These lubrications help to keep the skin healthy and the areola elastic."

So I think we all have them already/ before pregnancy but when you become pregnant they swell/enlarge so more noticable.  Hope this helps. If you need more info go onto google and put in 'montgomery glands'.. There's loads of info about them out there. x

if you read up on pregnancy symptoms you can find what you described. its your hormones getting your nipples ready for breast feeding. : ) its a good thing. just leave them be, try not to pick them or disturb them they are perfectly normal and are nothing to worry about.

there normal because i have them and im not pregnant ...every pregnancy is differant tho

I have em and Im pregnant.. I never had them before.. but if sweetangel had them while TTC they must just be something with your hormones or something.

I've had them while I was ttc...I always thought they were a sign HOWEVER 7 months of bfns has taught me otherwise.  Not sure what they are.
