Lord have mercy. So last Monday and Tuesday (both days) I went to the hospital for contractions, went from a 3-5 during that time. And labor stalled, so I was sent home.
On Saturday I was fed up. And with the advice of my midwife, tried castor oil.
(DO NOT USE CASTOR OIL WITHOUT CONSULTING YOUR DOC. CASTOR OIL CAN CAUSE YOJR BABY TO PASS THEIR FIRST BOWEL MOVEMENT IN THE WOMB, POSSIBLY CAUSING COMPLICATIONS AND EVEN DEATH)
I took two table spoons of castor oil at 1pm on Sat.
Had no effects, and chocked it up to not working.
At 6:30pm Sat I was hit with a wall of contractions. Literally out of no where.
They hit at two minutes apart immediately.
I timed them for an hour because I didn't want to be sent home from the hospital again.
HUGE mistake.
We left the house at 7:30, contractions now a minute apart.
At 7:45 we got to my moms to drop off our daughter.
Decided at that point I wasn't going to make it, and called an ambulance.
I'd rather give birth with trained EMTs than in my boyfriends car lmao
The ambulance got there around 8:10-8:15.
We got to the hospital at 8:30 or so.
Was admitted to triage, where I was alone. They didn't let bf in the ambulance with me.
I sat there screaming and crying in pain. Begged the nurse tos tay in the room because I didn't want to be alone. (Thought bf wouldn't make it in time)
Midwife came in and checked me, was at a 7. They quickly admitted me.
Soon after getting to my delivery room, bf came in. I sat there screaming for the epidural.
Finally got the epidural at 930 or so (several girls before me)
Got checked at 10 after receiving the epidural, was right at a ten.
Exactly 5 pushes later and Sophia was born. 2/18/17, 21in, 7lbs 2.8oz
We were discharged Sunday at 6pm
