hey kbenk, not sure if you still go on here or not, but I've been having the same problem, only one missed period but definate fluttering or tapping in my uterus ( lower abdomine) exactly as you said 3 to 5 seconds. Not sure what it is, I'm hoping to be pregnant and it's very likely as my mom didn't know she was pregnant with me till the 4th month in, since she had her period till then. HPT's don't work for me either, they are constantly negative with me, even when I had my eptopic pregnancy in 2006. Can you tell me what happened at the doctors? Where you pregnant? I really need to know what's happening with me, my wedding is 1 month away and I want to know for sure before then to know if I shouldn't drink. Can't go to the doctor's until after the wedding to, since I won't have health insurance until then. Any feed back is great. Thanks.
I agree with the first commenter!

thanks 4 all the responses. yes so far ive missed 2 periods..i only said 2 1/2 because next week it will be 3. i keep waiting for it to show up...and it never does. i know what im feeling isnt gas...its def. something else. its def. a "twitching..fluttering", kind of like a fast pulse or a tapping. it usually lasts anywhere from 3-5 seconds and it comes and goes. Hopefully I can get an earlier appt. I'll keep you all posted. Thanks again.
I agree with sweetangel. I think it would be unlikely you would feel the baby moving as early as 14 weeks. It sounds like something gastrointestinal to me, but I would try and move my Dr.'s appointment up if you can, and have a blood test to be sure you aren't pregnant. Fluttering is usually (if not pregnancy related) gas, ir some intestinal issue. And you said you missed 2 and a HALF periods? I am not sure I understand that? Keep us posted please!
Get a blood test and an ultrasound if you suspect you are pg. I didn't feel baby move until 18w...I believe it is rare before 16w...good luck
Well, if you are pregnant and you are at least 14 weeks, you may feel the baby moving. But if you are not pregnant, it could be gas bubbles or just muscle twitches.
