FTM getting induced.

So I'm 39 weeks today and in about two hours I'll be at the hospital so I can get induced. I haven't been able to sleep all night due to being scared of having my son. Because of the pain I might experience,  I already have my mind set on the epidural.  Should I still be nervous?

I got induced a week ago on Monday @8pm.. The first 10-12hrs nothing much will happen except get some contractions going. Mine started around 2:30am... I needed pain meds for them at around 3:30am.. Which helped a lot until about 9am.. I got the epidural put in cause the contractions were unbearable. The epidural didn't hurt what so ever.. I barely felt them put it in... 3:23pm my baby girl was born & yes there was still pain.. But after she was out almost all pain was relieved. 13hrs of labor n only 15mins of pushing(:

You'll do great(: Just don't worry. Just think of that moment when they hand you your baby boy & you're holding him for the first time.

Being nervous can affect the way you view giving birth and make it more painful than it really is. It's best to try to stay calm and focus on the pros instead of the cons
