Faint Positive Pregnancy Test

Question

Hi,

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant and my period is not due until Friday Feb.13.  I have felt a bit sick to my stomach, headache, moody so I took a early pregnancy test on Sunday Feb. 8 and got a faint positive line. The positive line appeared blue but a little faint just like the box had said could happen so out of suspense  I took another test but different brand Monday and that one was negative.  What should I think? Am I pregnant or did I get a false positive?

Thanks everyone.  It ***** waiting I am sure you all know. I will wait and test again on Friday and try not to stress out about it any more if it is meant to be it will be and if not we will try try again.  I will let you all know.

I would definitely re- test on friday! I have unfortunately heard that alot of women get FALSE positives with the Blue Dye tests! I say you could definitely be preggo and that it might just be a bit early and there might not have been enough buildup of the HCG in your urine at the time you tested! I say try again friday! This has happened to me for the three months prior to me getting pregnant. It was very devistating and annoying. I hated to sa it though but everyone who is saying wait until Friday is right. Sorry, I know you really want to know, but waiting is best. I waited for about a week after my FMP to take a test and it was positive! I was so happy! So that's what I think you should do. And also calm down about it, if its ment to be, then it will happen!

I agree wait until friday and test again,its possible it was an evap line,the blue dye tests are very common for this.but then again,maybe it was to soon,and your second test was done using diluted wee.wait till friday,fingers crossed for you..

false negatives are much more common than positive ones. I don't rate early pregnancy tests though as they have never worked for me. I'd test on the first day of my missed period with a regular pregnancy test and at 3 day intervals till i knew for sure. or, you could always get a blood hcg test done. anyway, i do hope you are pregnant. bestof luck and let us all know...we're nosey lol

I would wait until Friday and then take another test and see. It will be more accurate and you will know for sure by then. Good luck!! I hope you get that BFP!
