Fetal Doppler----Has anyone rented one?

Has anyone ever rented a fetal doppler to be able to hear the baby's heartbeat at home? Are they safe? Does anyone know of a site that has reasonable prices?? Has anyone's physician ever given them a problem (because you need physician approval through all the sites, required by law).
Any input would be great!!!

Thanks for the input! I really want to get one. I just think that going through my previous m/c and wondering everyday whats going on and if the baby is okay would totally put my mind at ease!

Did anyone get trouble from their doctor in getting approval? ARe doctors okay wiht this? It is safe, isnt it?

Nikko_ttc and I have the exact same one.  We rented it from  www. babybeat. com  
We both love it!  It works so well, and it has a display so that you dont have to try and count the hb. It is $49 a month. I was able to easily hear the hb at 12 weeks, and I think she did at 11 weeks. You wont be sorry, their product is awesome.

Side note- I went to the doctor yesterday and my doctor has the exact same one from babybeat..... thats good testimony to me!

I was able to get a heartbeat from 8 weeks and I had bleeding  till 16 weeks so it was reassuring to me. Try storkradio.

Yea I did it w my daughter and it worked soooo great!!!... I loved being able to try and find the heart beat whenever i wanted it!!!
