I am blowing up like a baloon! I had the IUD removed on 09/02/11. Since then, I have not had a period. I have taken like 7 pregnancy tests...all negative. I need to schedule an unrelated surgery;I need to know if I am pregnant first. So, I guess my question is: can the hormones that had been secreted into my uterus cause a pregnancy test to read negative even after IUD removal? Should I get a blood test intead? The IUD was at work in my system for only a month. Any help??

most of the time 7 dpo is about when the baby implants.  Hcg will not begin until implantation happens then it takes about 3-4 more days to get enough of it to show up on an hpt.  I would wait a few more days and test again.  Good Luck to you!

most tests wont read until 9 dpo at the earliest.  so maybe it's to early.  I would wait till monday, but I will tell you when I had my iud taken out in March, we start ttc right away it took 5 months, but my period were a bit screwy!  They were 1 day of spotting for those 5 months....  But I did conceive in july so good luck!

I would just wait till monday to see.  but thats me.
