Gaining To Much Weight?

Im a little stressed at my situation. Before i found out i was pregnant i was on a strict diet  due to being unhappy with my weight, i lost about 30lbs average & only needed like 5-10 pounds to be a size 5-7. I later found out i was pregnant after being 2 weeks late on my period. I was 145 before i gotten pregnant & now im 190 at 34 weeks. Right away In pregnancy i started gaining weight without an increased appetite.

First of all, congratulations on your weight loss prior to pregnancy! Secondly, I would agree with Ashleigh - if your doctor is not concerned, then just make it through these last 6 weeks... maybe another 6 lbs? I found this information from *****************.org helpful:

Where does all the extra weight go?

Here is an approximate breakdown of your weight gain:

    Baby: 7-8 pounds
    Placenta: 1-2 pounds
    Amniotic fluid: 2 pounds
    Uterus: 2 pounds
    Maternal breast tissue: 2 pounds
    Maternal blood : 4 pounds
Fluids in maternal tissue: 4 pounds
Maternal fat and nutrient stores: 7 pounds

You'll be down ~15 lbs within a couple of days, before you even think of stepping on a scale. It's not the entire amount but it's a lot! :)

I know for me, whether it's baby weight or just weight I gained, no matter what I do, I will not lose anything unless I exercise hard. That's my body tho, dieting & breast feeding & counting calories don't work for me.

I worked hard after my son to get fit (gained 40+ lbs). A month after I was fit again, git pregnant with my daughter (gained 30lbs but she came early too). Never lost more weight until I exercised again. Whatever u were doing to lose that 30lbs (good job!) do it after pregnancy & it'll work again!

Hi mommy2bee312... is your dr concerned with your weight gain? If not your fine! This is my 3rd pregnancy and with each one I've gained about the same. Prior to pregnancy I was a size 3-5 and now im barely fitting 9s. I've gained 30lbs and im only 21 wks. My appetite is not out of control I just tend to pack on weight during pregnancy. If your planning on nursing you'll lose baby weight quickly. Just make sure your getting enough fruits and veggies and worry about your baby growing now and the weight later. Are you exercising at all? Try walking if your concerned now.
