Glucose testing

I have an appointment in 2 weeks fo a 2 hour glucose testing. I'm currently 28 weeks prego. how should I expect to feel afterwards? I'm suppose to work that day. Would I have to call off from work or not?

I was sick after doing it with my first, I have to redo it for this pregnancy tmrw bc 2 weeks ago when I did it I puked halfway through. I forgot about it and came in with an empty stomach and I don't need to fast with the 1 hour one.

Ugh I hate that junk!!! they had me do it last month at 12 weeks. Just an hour for testing and only drew blood once. But lucky me they said ill have to do it again later on in pregnancy too. It does make you wanna hurl and I definitely crashed later that afternoon. I slept for I think 3 hours

I'm on my third pregnancy and I haven't taken that test. Lol. With my first I tried but the one flavour or smell I can't handle is artificial orange flavour. And that is pre pregnancy. Try getting a prego woman to drink something  that makes them sick to their stomach when they're not pregnant, it didn't end well. Haha. So the Dr gave up and simply pricked my finger to check my levels. All were normal like he figured as typically Im pretty under weight. Regular finger pricking I'll take before that nasty stuff. Lol

Usually they only draw it ^ that many times if you fail the first one! I failed my first one because my dr didn't tell me I was goin to have a glucose test that day and I ate a McDonald's breakfast with an orange juice and sugar straws lol I failed horribly and had to come back for the three hour test!

I have a great dr now and she told me in advance so getting to the normal experience! I've taken this test with my 2nd and 3rd pregnancies already and I just found that both times it made me "crash" a few hours later.

Do not throw up the drink if your sensitive to certain drinks us they will make u come back :X

If its a two hr they will probably draw your blood 3 times. They'll draw it then you'll drink the stuff then 1hr after that they'll draw then an hr after that they'll draw again. I just did the 3hr they drew 4 times :/  I had to fast so besides being hungry when I was done it was not to bad

Glucose testing is simple. No need to call off from work. They give you a very sweet drink to down in less that one minute. It tastes like a super sugary orange hi-c without the ice. Then You have to  wait an hour before they draw a little blood. Not bad at all. Good luck:)
