Heartbeat at 38 weeks

I'm 38 weeks and 3 days.  My baby's heartbeat used to be in the upper 150s in the beginning.  Then it started to slow down.  My doctor never seemed concerned about it so I didn't either.  Well, my doctor didn't have any appointments for this week so another doctor saw me.  She said the heartbeat was around 120 and then asked me if I've had any stress tests done during my pregnancy.  I said no and she just let it go.  Now I'm worried! Is 120 normal at 38 weeks???

That is an OK range but if you are really worried or just need peace of mind ask for the non stress test. It doesn't take long at all and then you might feel better.

Normal. My daughter heartrate was at 160 most of my pregnancy and when I delivered her at 38 weeks it was like 122. She is 100% perfect.

120 is a normal heartbeat yes. if the doctor didn't seem too worried i wouldn't be either... your baby's heartrate might just slow down as birth gets closer. if you still have a question about it you could always call your regular doctor and ask.
